Thank feck. Was looking likely for a second there and if Spurs managed to sign Dybala ahead of United that wouldve looked so so bad on us

What's wrong with Juve? First, they're actively trying to sell their second best player, then they for some reason want to trade him for Lukaku, then they feck with Spurs on DDL. Must be some internal fights going on there.
Not sure this is on Juve tbh. There was a tweet somewhere where Juve were going to be subsidising wages. That along with the image rights and Levy probably low-balling them in some manner probably led to them just rejecting the transfer. If they’ve got to keep the player because a deal is not viable it’s best if it seems on their terms rather than saying they wanted to get rid but couldn’t.

Lo Celso and Sessegnon are still solid signings for Spurs, Dybala seemed a long shot.

I'm shocked that Eriksen hasn't left though, bizarre situation that. Levy must be willing to lose him for free next summer.

Our business is done, 100%. I'm just browsing the thread to keep tabs on our rivals now (and by rivals I dont mean Spurs; I mean Wolves, Everton, Leicester and Arsenal).

Can you see Spurs paying exorbitant fees? I can't. Woodward tells they were exorbitant and some of you believe, the same Woodward that gave new contracts to Mata, Jones, Young. The same Woodward that paid 50m for Fred. Yeah he smartened up since he hired Ole. His eyes are open now.
No I don't believe we are pretending to chase targets in a ruse to fool the fans into thinking that we have money to spend when we don't. Sorry.

Eriksen can leave to Spain for the remainder of the month. It's well documented that he doesn't want to stay in England.

He's a playing legend and that has blinded sound decision making

It is a shocking appointment when viewed objectively and pushes us further down into the mire
It’s no more shocking than Guardiola, Zidane or Kovac though. All appointments made by Barca, Real and Bayern which worked out.

United are allowed to walk away from a deal.
If Dybala moves to Spurs with Juve paying part of the wages then only adds credence to the story that we walked away because he wasn't fully committed to the club.
Maybe Spurs can take that risk? Maybe full ccommitment doesnt mean that much with the make up of their squad.
United doesn't always have to be the mugs.
It seems as if we've finally learned our lesson in regards to buying names and trying to make it work later. Its something that should be acknowledged quite frankly instead of the cynical bullshit that's pushed forward every time out club makes a move.
I feel pity for you for believing that.

Can we also acknowledge that we needed 2 midfielders this summer and got none?

If we get 25mil for Rojo, Zaha is actually sold for 70mil and we off load Darmian our net spend will be under 20mil (including Fellaini fee too). Not great.

We should step in and pinch Sessegnon. We could do it for what's left of our mythical £100m budget and he'd be a fine back up to Shaw.

So you think it is all a master plan and our way to competing with Liverpool and City with Matic and Lingard in our starting 11? Same like last year and how Maguire wouldn't have improved our defense and we were chasing Varane? Yeah that's perfectly believable.

Dybala purely and simply is not interested in coming to England.. it doesn't matter the team he doesn't want to come to this league.

Oh of course the Spurs brief is because Juve pulled the plug.

Total bollocks. He wanted big money and Spurs can't break their entire wage structure for him. It's blatant.

Juve have pimped him out for 2 weeks, and suddenly they have a change of heart

But because it's not a negative United story, I better keep my mouth shut because Spurs are the greatest club ever, with the best stadium and training ground ever.
