Honestly, no attainable striker is as good as Icardi. I think people overplay his personal issues.

His issues do seem massively overestimated - there’s not much that seems to do with the actual football. He does, however, seem reluctant to leave Italy so I’m not sure him (and his wife) would settle in Manchester (if they could even actually be enticed by the idea of moving to Manchester).

What kind of striker is Piatek? Inter can take Lukaku, Icardi can move to AC Milan and we can have Piatek. Everybody comes out of it with a shiny new striker or club.

If Haller is as strong and technical as is made out I’m sure he would do well for United. We’re missing a target player who can consistently make the ball stick and bring others into play - someone like Jimenez at Wolves.

Piatek would be a great signing. However I doubt he would want to move so early from Milan. Icardi seem to want to go to Juve so maybe we can get a deal for dybala. Then there's haller who seem to be a decent prospect

what about Patrik Schick from Roma? Had a poor season but looks like he has all the skills to excel in the premier league. he could be an inspiring signing .

I think we are not linked with any at this moment is an indication that we won't be selling Lukaku and replacing him.

None of the strikers we've been linked to excite me. None of them seem like an upgrade on Lukaku.

I think we're being linked to some pretty average strikers plus i think Lukaku had a shocker of a season last season. And people like me would like to believe that he can be as good as he was in his first season with us.

Having said that I think Lukaku is as good as gone. So we better find somebody or teach Martial how to play up top

Think he’s rumoured to be going on loan somewhere. We could do an inter and do a loan with option to buy :D

Might not be a bad idea at all. He has potential, full international, looked to have rediscovered his form during the euro qualifiers.

first half of that season he was great, the second half he was terrible.

the same lack of energy he had all last season. If he goes to Inter he probably will do fantastic, but it wont bother me because I know he cant do it for us.

Already has what? A midfielder scored more goals than him last season. He has two good games then goes missing for five. His scoring record for us is awful.

Now he is completely disrespecting the club, with his public statements and silly photos. I'll personally be glad when he's gone.

Already has done it for us. Been fantastic (or thereabouts)

Who do you rate higher between Piatek, Yedder and Werner?

why not just let Martial and Rashford battle it out for the spot and fill the left and right wings instead, if Martial is staying why persist with him on the left wing when it will almost likely yield the same outcome as seen in previous seasons.

Because Martials a lazy wanker with a shit attitude too, fully expect him to hand Rashford or James the left attacking spot and we buy a new number 9

Martial will be gone after the coming season

Agree with this 100%.
I'm stunned that people would have pogba out before martial.
Pogba's a WC winner & contributed way more this past season than Martial who's a lazy, grumpy feck.
Hope we swap him for Sancho next season.

Maxi Gómez, Lautaro Martínez, Werner, Piatek... There are a lot of young players that would improve our team. I'm not against Rashford, but he could be better as a wide striker (rotating with Martial). We need someone able to score 20+ goals, not 10.

Milik would be 1st choice but de Laurentis is a pain to deal with.

Lewandowski or Cavani interests me too but they won't be cheap & I guess we are looking for speedier players these days.

Belfodil, Joelinton or Werner are typically not the kind of signings we make.

Moussa Dembele, Belotti or Icardi seem like big gambles to me for one reason or another. I doubt AC allow Piatek to move on so soon.

So I guess Ben Yedder would be the next best thing.

I want someone who can interchange positions with Rashford, Martial and hopefully Greenwood, or is at least comfortable receiving the ball deeper and opening up space for the aforementioned, to give our front line some much needed fluidity.

Rashford is still young and i fully expect this year to be a break out season for him! 25 plus goals I reckon

I think Ben Yedder fits the bill

If Martial fulfills his potential, he could be the striker we need.

I would prefer to sign a RW instead.

I would have liked a right winger this summer but think the club think they have a good chance of getting Sancho next summer. Who would you like us to sign for the right wing?

Lyon's Dembele scored a couple of good goals against Arsenal today. He would be a good shout to replace Lukaku.

Under a tree.
Timo Werner is still refusing to sign a new contract, i expect him to move in the next few days, or Leipzig risk losing him for nothing next summer. Bayern and Liverpool seem to be the teams mostly linked with him, surely hes someone we should be in for...

Didn’t Diego Costa fall out with Atleti at the end of last season? He’d be the perfect profile to come in and compliment our current bunch of forwards I think, and would get us 20 league goals.
