What's IPTV?

Edit : I just downloaded it. This looks awesome. I wish I wouldn't have bothered with MUTV now:lol:
Thanks btw I'm gonna order this.
I read an article there the other day saying sky and bt were granted powers to tell your ISP to cut you off if you are watching illegal streams. Not sure if it applies to IPTV.

Please correct me, but IPTV could be shut down at any moment. Within five years i think it will be gone. There will probably be something else in its place though.

I dont like the thought of giving them my credit card number either.

There's some good content and re runs of games if you missed them but a lot of it is repeated on a continuous loop and there's also a lot of crap on it too. Paddy Crerand has got terrible recently and I always get the feeling that it's a kind of Glazers ministry of information

Couldn’t see this being discussed elsewhere. Pretty poor from the panel to be honest.

I packed in MUTV after they got rid of 'United in Press'. It was great getting the perspective of the print journalists. Clearly MUFC board didn't like it when they were telling unpalatable home truths. A crying shame. I binned it after it was axed

Is there anything on MUTV that is worth watching after the preseason games?

I'm debating whether to buy it for the month or the year.

Does anyone have it that could give advice on what content they have?
It’s definitely worth it.Live Youth team and Reserves games....extensive highlights of youth matches and first team games. The full 90 minutes of all first team matches in the league and Europe within 24 hours of the kickoff...It’s definitely worth it...

I just bought it in Thailand on a 1 year subscription for less than the price of 1 month's subscription in the UK. Well worth it for me.
Where abouts in Thailand are you lad? Just got back from Phuket which was incredible. Not before a quick stop off in Pattaya

I'd be totally lost without it, i'll do what ive done the last two seasons, watch the build-up, get the team news then avoid the score till midnight this Sunday and then just watch the match as live, and i'll do exactly the same for 75% of our matches again this season - FA Cup matches are a pain though because the club can't show the match till dinner-time on the Monday even if the match is on a Friday, but other than that not a problem.

I also enjoy watching all the u18/u21 and Women's matches as well, and the Paddy Crerand Show so can't grumble at paying £3.50/£42 a month/year for the privilege, christ I can spend £42 in an hour on a decent night out, so....

I took out a subscription 12 months for the price of six (£25) a few days ago. On the Man Utd app they now have a link 12 months for the price of 2 months (£15). Too late for me, but wanted to give a heads up to anyone who was thinking of taking out a subscription. Reserve game live Friday and under-18s live on Saturday. Some exciting young talent brought to the club this summer.

Who on earth subscribes to MUTV?

It's a North Korean style propaganda channel that only has the rights to show pre-season friendlies. If you want daily United content there are so many youtube channels and podcasts you can listen to and watch for nothing.

I guess people like me, who enjoy watching the future Giggs, Beckham, Scholes, Butt, Neville’s, Rashford, Lingard, Greenwood, Gomes etc that the academy produces for the first team. It’s what Manchester United is all about.

I know it divides opinion but I saw an offer for MUTV where you get 12 months for the price of 2. I do watch all of the 20 min game highlights and the full 90 min re-runs (if we've played well). Having them all in one place along with the full pressers, Academy and Women's games make it worthwhile. That will also cover all of next season's pre-season games too. I don't really bother with the Crerand Show as it's just shite and poor quality but I can easily go down a rabbit hole watching highlights of old games and the other stuff on there.

For £15.89, it was just too good an opportunity to pass up. Glad I've done it now. I paid £29.99 last year with the offer then.

I get it so I can watch matches at a time that suits me. I live in Cambodia so watching live often means a midnight or 2am kick off, this way I can just watch the full match on MUTV when i wake up in the morning - not bad for $20 for the year!

FFS, and there was me thinking that this could happen only in a country like mine. Unfookingbelievable.
What the hell do people expect on MUTV? They're never going to insult the board on live television, that's them sacked instantly. Some of you might enjoy being on the dole but they obviously don't want to be

They never, ever cancelled phone-ins after games and they have started doing that for a while. God help anybody who wants to criticise. It is the RAWK version of fan TV. Everything is rosy and do not say anything negative. If things get a lot worse, they might find they don't need a fan channel on Sky.

Fair point but it's a blackly comic clip considering the state we're in. And their airy dismissals that 'every club is in debt' are pathetic.

They've hung up on people and cancelled phone ins many many times! This is not some new phenomena that people are now losing their sh!t over!

If you still pay for MUTV at this point I don't want to hear you complain about the Glazers or the state the club is.

Exactly. It's the club channel and entertaining those calls might get these presenters sacked. Not sure why it's blown out of proportion, it's what you expect. Would have been more surprised if they let the caller to finish what he wanted to say.
