Doesn’t mean much I know but seeing Lindelof and Bailly with 2 & 3 is really annoying. Need to sort our numbers out haha

Yup it annoys me too. Shaw and AWB being in the 20’s is another annoyance.
Shaw had the 3 and gave it up didn’t he, so we were never going to get the perfect starting left back number.

When are Borthwick-Jackson and Demi Mitchell going to be sold? Are they even training with the first team?

I mean the season literally kicks off today, the home shirt has been on sale for over a month there must be loads with Martial 11.
Almost certain you can complain, go through social media and you'll get a positive response.

#39 McTominay... seriously? Why pick a hockey number? First team regs should have numbers below 25

1 - DDG
2 - AWB
3 - Lindelöf
4 - Shaw
5 - Maguire
6 - Pogba
7 - Gomes
8 - McTominay
9 - Martial
10 - Rashford
11 - Greenwood

It's more than that imo. It's tradition, professionalism, image, and much more.
I like the traditional squad numbers, but these days squads are bigger than they've ever been, so tradition is hard to keep up with in that respect.

So long as it doesn't end up like Serie A with squad numbers higher than 50, then I don't mind. I think there's enough gaps to not have to use the numbers in the 40s though.

I quite like what Bayern do, where their academy graduates tend to occupy the high numbers (20 and beyond) and keep them for their careers there, and non-academy players get the low numbers. Like how Fletcher kept #24 til the very end.
