Isn't this situation where we need a Henrik Larsson type of character? Mandzukic would seem to fit the bill, and Llorente is less of a has-been than Larsson was at the time.
...but nowhere near as good a player unfortunately.Isn't this situation where we need a Henrik Larsson type of character? Mandzukic would seem to fit the bill, and Llorente is less of a has-been than Larsson was at the time.
Um whoNo one unless we bring back Rooney or vanliestroy from retirement.
Dear me, you’ve just won the award for the worst misspelling ever. I just instantly forgave all the ‘Eriksons’ from earlierNo one unless we bring back Rooney or vanliestroy from retirement.
Underrated comment.Noonedinho
Feck that.Nobody or Llorente on a free after the deadline.
Just want to thank you on what is a pretty depressing day for bringing that little Ray of sunshine in . We can think back and remember all "Vanliestroys" performancesNo one unless we bring back Rooney or vanliestroy from retirement.
Yeah, greedy F8cks.No one. Glazers have now spent 80 this summer thats enough.
What I expect, not want.Feck that.
I know that bro. What I expect, not want.
There won’t be that 1 big centre forward....There won’t be that defining attacking player in the mould of Van Nistlerooy or RVP....What you will see is a fluid front 3 where players frequently keep inter changing positions. You will see a flexible system that will rely heavily on speed and players interchanging positions, without a focal point of attack...Putting this in here as it's essentially a prediction about the Utd first team - but if Mods decide it should be in the Transfer forum I apologize in advance for putting it in the wrong forum!
Anyway, one aspect of this window that is starting to excite me quite a lot, is the prospect of selling (and replacing) Rom, and I say that as someone who likes Lukaku and wanted him to do well here.
But if he is to go, it excites me thinking of OGS - a proven class CF in his own time, signing a new CF.
I'm not really sold on the notion of Solskjaer as manager, but this aspect does genuinely excite me as I think the guy will surely be able to spot a Utd striker better than any manager post SAF.
Yet we aren't really linked with any CFs or at least I haven't seen any rumours there.
So what say you lot - IF we sell Rom, who are your predictions of our CF signing?
That's great, but doesn't negate the notion of buying someone...There won’t be that 1 big centre forward....There won’t be that defining attacking player in the mould of Van Nistlerooy or RVP....What you will see is a fluid front 3 where players frequently keep inter changing positions. You will see a flexible system that will rely heavily on speed and players interchanging positions, without a focal point of attack...
This seems to be the plan,we”ll just have to wait and see whether Ole can make this work.I”m honestly not very confident going into this season, but I hope I”ll be proved wrong...
Completely agree. We should have signed a striker/wide forward this summer....That's great, but doesn't negate the notion of buying someone...
Do you mean this winter? )Completely agree. We should have signed a striker/wide forward this summer....
