The unfair criticism/accusations against our manager is unacceptable

Failing a Jib anywhere, anyhow
Pretty simple to me these days. I take no notice of any social media fan led stuff, laugh at the negative cnuts on here and enjoy the talk around the lads/lasses I go to games with and those who actually know how it feels in the ground.

The term top red has been turned upside down recently, it’s brilliant to see the explosion of teenage Internet forum wankers whenever anyone questions your level of support. I’ve even seen someone from the other side of the world say they’re a bigger fan than a ST holder because they’ve ‘splashed more cash on the club than they have....’ before going on to moan about the owners and Woodward. Sums it all up.

Up the fecking reds, get behind Ole and his plan.

Nobody expects him to win either the PL or the CL though, so why bother saying it?

People will expect him to form a brand of decent footy, improve the players he's working with and to be competitive - if he can't do that, consistently, by the end of the season, after already being in charge for 6 months, he should move on.
I don't think that will be enough for Woodward and the owners, like it is for many of us more realistic fans. Even if we get's us playing some OK football and we have some decent cup runs, if we miss CL qualification he'll be out the door unfortunetaly.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...

If the fans are happy and the footy's decent, you really think the Glazers are gonna pay off his contract and then bring in another manager who will want backing...?

No chance - if the fans are happy and the manager's not being demanding the Glazers at this point will do nothing.

Man Utd will still be making them money.

It’s clear that 2019/20 is yet another transition season: we have little chance to win PL title and a real fight to make into top 4, likely we’ll be inconsistent as team asserts new identity and relies on many young players.

I think a lot of fans frustration on past few years is not having realistic or aligned expectations. So many moaned and complained when we came 2nd in 2017, and yet I’m not sure how we could have done much better that season.

So how to we critique this season? What is encouraging and pleasing and what deserves moans and groans? If OGS plays lots of youngsters who then miss loads of sitters and contribute to defeats, should we applaud the intent? Should be celebrate if we come 4th or should we expect to win the title?

My personal expectation is 4th place or better, beak out seasons from Rashford and Martial, McTominay Fred and Periera, consistency from Pogba, defence to concede 35 or less goals in all competitions.

Id also like to see the youth team players to get at least 10 games each and for them to contribute to winning games; but when they play, they should be critiqued against first XI standards and not given excuses because they are young.

Coaching can be only a limited exercise. A manager needs the talent also and only a bloody fool would think we have enough quality players to be even competitive. We have sold two midfield players who probably played a lot more last season than what is left behind. Everyone knew that we have not replaced them at all let alone with better players. So why should he be blamed for Woodwad not giving him a chance to be competitive by getting him at least one quality midfield player?
Now it has come out that it was only on Wednesday that United even made an offer on Erikson and there was an article on Guardian how United fooled everyone by acting busy but no bids were lodged with any club for any players apart from the ones we bought this season. So Woodwad fooled everyone into thinking that we are going to buy more players.

I agree with this. In the scenario you describef, OGS is the ideal man for Woodward and the owners

The last “twat” won us one major trophy and finished second with a limited squad. I’m glad he’s gone and in hindsight he was the wrong promotion but be careful when accuse other poster to don’t show enough respect.
He did. He also remains a twat that didn’t have the best interests of the club at heart, trying to tear it apart in the process. Ole does. Anybody that says he doesn’t is, well, a twat. This is a bloke who scored one of the most important goals in the club’s history; a night many people remember as one of happiest of their lives (however sad one might think that is).

Respect is earned. Chat bollocks and you’ll get pulled for it. This is true in all walks of life. Quite rightly, some of the better posters (and by this I really mean they can form a coherent, fully-punctuated sentence) on this forum are beginning to pull some of the numpties up for the nonsense they’re peddling about both manager and club. Meanwhile, long-term posters are being given formal warnings for what appears to be a demonstration of wit (see the shitshow presser thread).

Hope you're right but so far the job has depended on making the CL, the Glazers lose 100M or more if we don't qualify. And about us fans being happy, I don't believe for one second that they give shit.

This is from Oles presser before the game answering about the kids:
“You can call it gambling but I am only faithful to what I believe in. I believe in this way to run the club. I am payed to lead. This is not about getting results to improve my reputation it’s about the club going in the right direction”

He is in no way a yes man or a puppet. All the decisions made this pre season is taken for our clubs best. He would probably love an addition or two, but the ones available where not deemed a good fit for us for whatever reason. It’s obvious he really rate the kids coming through. This is exciting times.
