Can't remember last time I was so happy for someone scoring the goal.

Was watching game with my father and when he scored I knew how much it must mean to him because of his dad :(

That celebration was to honest and unprepared, sheer emotions

Oh and loved the way he left Kante for dead, so that only way to stop him was kick him, opposition already can't handle that pace :smirk:

Delighted for him, I know how much his Dad would have meant to him so that's a moment for his whole family

Celebrating that goal today just was the rounding of an amazing day for the club and himself personally

This.

This is why Dan James is a United player.

It's an honour for him to play, and every time he steps onto the pitch he's grateful for the opportunity and desperate to repay the fans.

I'm glad we got him and not another mercanery playing only for a paycheque (like Daybala, for instance). James will obviously still become rich playing for United, but in return you just know he'll leave his heart on the pitch every match.

AWB, Maguire and Lindelof were 3 of the first 5 to make it to that end of the pitch. I think it says a lot about our new defensive unit that they even celebrate together.

Some fecker is slicing onions in here.

Delighted for him getting the goal. I think technically he's not ready yet and has a lot of catching up to do, but that pace and his work ethic make up for it. I don't even think that it's his top speed that's so impressive, it's how quickly he accelerates. I'd rather have him in for Lingard.

He reminds me of an academy player. You have that kind of feel for him where you know this is a huge step up and most may question whether you can actually make the cut, so all the fans are watching closely, and celebrating more enthusiastically when you deliver

Yep, James is a heart and soul player. Reminds me so much of Chicharito attitude wise.

...I loved when the entire team embraced him following his goal - that’s true passion and care !

Huge potential. Raw pace is a killer and he’s got that in spades. Along with his work ethic he’ll go a long way.

Not only that, but you know he will run himself into the ground. I think he's got the makings of a cult hero like Park Ji Sung.

By the way,

Daniel James has now scored the same amount of goals against top6 opposition as a United player as Lukaku did

Was just thinking that. I'm glad he's matched Lukaku's record (even though I don't think chelsea will be in the top 6 this year) and his celebration today brought a tear out. He made me fall madly in love with football again

I can't remember the last time I liked all the signings we made in a single window this much. They just seem like three great personalities to be added to the squad when such an injection was so sorely needed.

We've signed bigger names and exciting prospects but these 3 are just so likeable.

It's probably the Vidic and Evra winter to be honest but I was younger back then and it probably took me a bit longer to love them!

I can't remember a goal where our players have been so delighted for the scorer as much as they were for James. Usually you get the feeling teammates are excited for the goal itself rather than the scorer but everyone to a man looked genuinely delighted for James.

Martial and Wan Bissaka who are normally cool customers were beaming from ear to ear.
Last time I saw that was when Rossi scored his first goal. Even Van Der Saar joined in

That is pathetic. Though I suppose he did score an important goal against PSG

So happy for the young man and he looked like a real handful on the pitch as well.

I loved the celebrations. And its also quite endearing that his teammates seem to treat him like their little brother in the celebrations. Scott was even carrying him for a while.

That goal celebration was the best thing I've seen at OT for a long time. Finally might have players and a team we can connect with.

It's so obvious how much it means for James to play for our club, he was about to cry here! Love the emotion and this is what United should be all about.
I don't disagree with the fact that he is absolutely loving being at United, but I am pretty sure the emotional side of it comes from the fact he lost his father less than a week before signing for us, and this must have been an insane weight lifted off his shoulders, and would've made his dad immensely proud.

I must admit I welled up a little, the game was done and for him to celebrate like he did was beautiful to see, it was like watching fan score a goal after dreaming about it his whole life!

What a proud moment for him and his family.

I like him. Seems a decent kid. Normal haircut, works hard and has blistering pace. He's the old United kind of signing, like WB and Maguire.

I think Ole gets it. I'm desperate for him to succeed at United so we don't have to live through what we've done for the past 6 years, that is, losing our identity and trying to become what the club is not.

Very happy for him and i even got emotional listening to his interview. He is the perfect fit to our counterattacking style to come in the last 30 mins or so.

United have a lot of pace around the pitch but James is FAST. Can't tell whether he's going to end up a proper winger or if they might turn him into a tactical player like Park Ji Sung was.

He's probably suited for the false 9 role at the end of games as well.

According to an old Swansea teammate, James put himself in his own fantasy team, then went and scored a goal :D
