Was he even that ‘brutal’?

Most if not all of the points he hit Little Ben with have been raised in this very thread. The difference at the end of the day was that Shapiro couldn’t get away this time with his go-to card (which he did use) of calling his opponent a misguided pinko commie.
He was reading 10 years old tweets, to be fair.

Shapiro is not a good debater at all. All he does is offend the other people and then make them lose their cool which kind of wins the debate for him. If the other debater is ice-cold and doesn't get offended, then little Ben loses the only weapon he has.

To be fair this is his targeted audience, so he’s not going anywhere soon.

His ilks, same as Trump, are symptoms, not the cause. America is rotten.

Nah that point was made by others, the interview was fairly tame by Neil's standards, which made Shapiro's utter implosion all the more hilarious and indicative of his poor debating skills.

In what aspect is she more left wing than someone like Angela Merkel who is centre-right? All big things like Medicare for all, high taxes, free college are policies which are in effect in Germany for decades.
You are the one who said she would centre right so may be you should list her policy positions that make her so. Just because US has current policies in place making it more right wing that Germany, does not have any bearing on AOC's place in the spectrum. I doubt Merkel would take any stance as 'radical' as AOC's Abolish ICE and would be surprised if Merkel's climate change policy was more left wing than new green deal proposal. Has Merkel ever publically endorsed key LGBTQ+ positions? Gay marriage legalisation under her Govt was more due to pressure from moderates in her party rather than her leading it.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder if the left vs right spectrum is any better understood on here than by Shapiro of his host.

People speak in too generic terms. Merkel or any centre right politician in European would never oppose Amazon opening a HQ in their state/city or be as openly against the big business as AOC and Bernie are.

Angela Merkel is center-right and Germany (under her leadership) has more 'socialist' policies than that commie Sanders want for US.

Thing is that Democrat party in US are a right wing party (not even center-right), Sanders, AOC and Co. are center right while Republicans are fascists.

What I am saying is that virtually every policy she supports is already implemented in pretty much every European country, including those who are traditionally lead by center-right governments.

Obviously, in Europe the difference between center-right and center-left is close to non-existant, and many politicians is hard to even classify (like Macron).

Which of AOC’s policies make her center right?

What's the point in attempting to compare the US to European systems. They are obviously different and unrelated to one another.

Bernie & AOC(And to a lesser extent Warren) are on the left even compared with European politics. Its not so much about what policies they are offering but how they want to achieve it.

On a side note, I just read that Shapiro thought Batman v Superman was a good film. His need to be a cnut on every single level is nearly inspiring.
A movie about a rich white dude hating immigrants for fears of destroying the country??
of course he'll love that movie

Again that has nothing to do with original assertion that she or Bernie would be centre right in Europe.

Article:
An Indiana Man Who Vandalized A Synagogue With Nazi Symbols Admitted How Far-Right Figures Radicalized Him
Nolan Brewer, 21, said he and his wife were in contact with a white nationalist over Discord, read Breitbart and Nazi propaganda site Stormfront, and became members of Identity Evropa.

They blamed his teenage wife, who they said had a troubled upbringing and would spend hours chatting on Discord, an app that had become popular among white supremacists. She then shared articles with her husband.

“According to Nolan, she began with rightwing yet mainstream views such as those presented on Fox News. She then moved on to writing by Ben Shapiro and articles on Breitbart News which bridged the gap to the notorious white supremacist and anti-Semititc propaganda site Stormfront.”

And I'm all out of bubblegum.
No guys, remember that none of the internet stuff matters. It's just words. There's no radicalizing going on. People on 4chan, 8chan, TheDonald/KiA/whatever are just trolling the libs. It's just a few poisoned skittles in a bowl.

The sad thing is that his viewers who are in that sort of financial situation would probably agree and blame themselves.
Yeah, they had been indoctrinated with the whole "pull yourself up by the bootstrap" nonsense, not realising that the "bootstrap" has pretty much disappeared by now.

Maybe someone that's in need of a garden gnome can use him?

That's just a natural progression of the 'American Dream' where supposedly everybody in America is able to become hugely successful and if they don't it's because they didn't try enough. It's in the culture in that utter cesspit of a country.
