Where the grass is greener.
Much rather win this than finish 4th. Anyone thinking we should bin this off is odd. Really hope we take it seriously enough, for me it's our best shot at CL football next season.

Hope people not trying to spin how thinking to use young guns and non first XI in EL group stage = giving up from comp. to focus on PL.

I think the main argument people have against it is that you tend to get sent to places further away on pitches that aren't as good as you'll get in the CL. That pitch in the game against Rostov was an absolute nightmare. If we get draws against teams with actual pedigree and aren't that far away, we should be fine.
Thats fair enough but you have to travel far at times in the Champions League also. And we've played on a fair few poor pitches in the CL too over the years.

In fact Rostov were actually in the group stage of the Champions League that year which goes to show long distance travel and bad pitches happen in both competitions.

A mixture of youngsters and first team players.

Dont throw it away, but at the same time dont go all out to win it.

Yeah thats correct.
Fair enough i doubt Ole will be thinking that way though and rightly so. The day Manchester United as a club barely try to even win a European trophy to prioritize coming 4th in the league maybe. Is the day we will know the club has truly fallen.

Given the current (lack of) depth to our squad and the presence of many exciting youth prospects, I feel our approach to the Europa League this season could be interesting.

Given the taxing nature of Thursday evening - Sunday morning fixtures, how do you think Ole will approach the Europa League this season?

It's looking likely we will need to rely on our youth prospects at times this season so I feel the Europa League could be of great benefit. Greenwood, Gomes and Tuanzebe should be regular starters for our European campaign this season, with Laird, Chong and Garner also integrated.

This could allow an ideal pathway for the younger players to fully integrate with the senior team, gain experience and develop in a competition in which there will be less pressure than the premier league.

How do you think Ole will approach the europa league this season?
We have to try to win it,as simple as that.We are certainly not guaranteed a top 4 spot...EL success could be our best bet this season.,,We have to take it very seriously...

This is our shortcut to CL. Can we win it ? With little luck, yes we can. But need a coach better than Ole

Red Card for Casemiro!
We'll finally get clarity on CL teams dropping down within a week. Hope Liverpool is the first through the trapdoor, would love to beat them in a final.

A lot of strong teams joining us.

Might be the strongest Europa League in a while.

We should go out to win every competition. We should pick our strongest 11 once we reach the knockout rounds.
