Is this some sort of humour, or is it just what it looks like? Or both? Beats me, and beats me what the point is. If it isn’t what it looks like.
I have free pass on racism.

But, you need to read the context of my quote

If you knew anything about the situation at Macc Town and how poorly run they are, then Campbell deserves credit for staying as long as he has done.
That's football at the lowest levels! It's a huge challenge, and many clubs are in a right mess down there! That's the game!

He's had how many clubs in his career? How long did he stay at those clubs? Another clueless post.
How did he fare after 2009? How did Notts County go? How did his "Politics" and "Mayor" campaigns go.
How did walking out of the stadium leaving his team in a mess go?

Clueless, back to your box mate.

Dude was like 34 then. He sounds like an idiot but you can't question his work ethic
He's a bit of an unbalanced character. The Notts County debacle, the politics nonsense. Not the sort of character you can see sticking to management. Although if others disagree we'll see.

I could see him totally changing career again now.

The first one is quite humorous in fairness.

The second one, well

You don't have to share the opinions of your favourite football players, you know that right?
As it pertains to the issue of racism in football, (something that Andy Cole himself has said he experienced many a time, unless you think he's moaning or just making it up), id be pretty confident in saying that those who feel differently to him, he would not want as fans.
This issue is so personal to the man that he wants the top job at Kick it out. He wouldnt want any racism deniers as fans, you can be sure of that.

I don't actually care that much, what started off as a relatively innocent comment has been taken well out of context.
I think anyone with even the slightest balance could see you were making a tongue in cheek quip.

Use smileys next time for these people who missed it :wenger:

If you think that was innocent, then why don't you repeat it in your workplace and post the reaction.

In short, there are things you'd post but never repeat. It was bigoted not innocent

Yep any sensible, rational thinker would've been able to see that.

It is far from routine within League Two to go four months unpaid and have your club face legal challenges because they seem to feel they are not obliged to pay players who they had under contract.

You're being really over dramatic about this. Before you say it because I know it's what you want to say, no I'm not a racist. There's a couple of other folk who could see it was tongue in cheek (Which it was)

It was a bigoted comment, stop trying to play it off as tongue in cheek. You actually agreed with another poster when he said that someone doesnt have to agree with their favourite footballers opinion. It was your opinion, you so much said it.
Ignorant and bigoted comments need to be called out. This actually was a decent thread.

Other posters have agreed with me that it was tongue in cheek, it's clear to see it was. It's hardly ignorant or bigoted, I don't really get this obsession with "Calling people out" You're really not, I've given my opinion on a football forum. It's just that you don't like that opinion and want me to agree with yours.

Clever move by Campbell. He probably knows that there’s not much more he can achieve at Macclesfield, certainly nothing to eclipse what he achieved last season, so his stock is probably peaking in terms of management.

He knows the sacking season is only just around the corner and is now bound to come to the attention of bigger L2 clubs, L1 clubs will cast an eye towards him too and the odd Championship and SPL clubs might also register an interest.

He will be back in work by Christmas at somewhere a big step up from Macclesfield.

The irony in this post. You seem to be a bit unhinged and really perturbed about Sol Campbell. Relax, he doesn't hate you, he doesn't know you. The funny thing is that you go on to call him unbalanced on your next post. What do politics and his mayor campaign have to do with his football career?
Tell that inner demon to get out, its not healthy.

It's be coming more and more of an issue in the football league.
Bury and Bolton are facing massive problems. I dare say other teams have suffered without that publicity too.

Since 2009 he's jumped in and out of things, not sticking to anything.
Management may well be another thing he moves away from. Which would be a shame the amount of sound bites he put out about not getting opportunities.

What needs to be called out is your quite rogue campaign to try and depict this poster as some sort of racist for what was clearly a little quip.

Campbell has long moaned about lack of opportunities. The poster merely joked he's only quit to be able to moan about there being no opportunities!
Hardly some bigot!

Improve your reading and comprehension skills and go back 2 pages. I told this poster that Andy Cole (ironically his username) had previously agreed with Campbell about racism and the lack of black managers in the game. How did he feel about that? Another posted that you dont have to agree with your favourite football players opinion. This poster agreed. I then said that Andy Cole would be embarrassed to have him as a fan if he knew this posters views. Dwight Yorke said the very same thing that Cole did. If you think that racism hasnt played a part in the lack of black managers in the last 20 years (not wholly, as in every single instance, but at least some of the time), then yes, id have some serous reservations about said person. There is racism in all fabric of society, why would there all of a sudden not be in this one field were discussing?
Back to Campbell, his character often muddies the waters for him as he is seen as some sort of weird and strange person.
He can become a good manager somewhere is my guess, but would a club be willing to take a punt on him?

In the crowd to see his team lose 7 - 1 at home. They were down to 9 men mind.

I went to see them a few weeks ago, they're truly hopeless.

If Sol keeps them up then manager of the year in that division (all four league aswell if there was such an award) should be a one horse race.

They’re on 5 points, minus 25 goal difference and only Bolton who have -5 points are below them.

if he keeps them up it would be extraordinary.

Confidence is one thing. Lack of self awareness another. He does however deserve a chance higher up. Let’s see how he does!

No idea what Macclesfield were doing paying him that much. But second club he’s chasing after being owed money to. First was Pompey.

Don't have a problem with him but he shouldn't go around claiming he's the only Campbell.

I’m sure he does work hard, what manager doesn’t?

Comes across pretty clueless and uninspiring when you hear him talk about football. Has a very high opinion of his ability, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but can’t see that coming across well in the lower leagues which is where his next club will be if he gets another job.

Great footballer, but most of the time that doesn’t translate into management.
