hattrick.org, do any of you lot play this? :/
I'm on my 2nd stint on it, don't even bother that much but winning quite a bit.

I reached the 2nd Division in my 3rd season and was competing for promotion in my 4th season... However India only has 5 active divisions... But it just got too monotonous and boring after a while!Yeah its easy to lose interest imo, especially if you cant get into higher divisions and stay there
The English one is alot harder :/ I dont find it too boring this time round, as I only log in once in a blue moonI reached the 2nd Division in my 3rd season and was competing for promotion in my 4th season... Yea.. isn't it a Norwegian game? Cause they as a nation are definitely awesome in the game..I played for quite a long time. Then my team got taken away because I went bankrupt, even though I'd gotten big offers on all three of my superstrikers that I was selling. I was doing fairly well. Norway had one of the biggest league systems and some of the best teams (we won the World Cup a few times), so it was hard to advance. To be honest I was happy to stay in the division I was in, since the number of teams was ever expanding.
Nah, I've seen worse.Bumping an 11 year old thread, must be some sort of a record.
Maybe try Sokker.org. I left hattrick for that one because its simpler and you can actually watch the games.I played this from 2005 until about 6/7 months ago, got quite high up the leagues at one stage. Used to be a really enjoyable game and I was on it every day at work!
But redesigns over the years in my opinion weren't very good and made the game more complicated than it needed to be. What used to be a 5 minute login to check tactics and transfers became much more than that and in the end I almost stopped playing without realising.
If they stripped it back to basics (which obviously they won't) I'd sign up and give it another go.
There's also a cricket equivalent at www.battrick.org which again I just couldn't find the time needed to be successful at it.
I used to be a GK trainer. Trained several of the best GK in the world. The frenchie Erwan Sauret comes to mind.I played for quite a while many years ago. Got up to Div II in Oceania and from memory the semi-final of the Oceanian cup, and was arguably the best defence trainer in the country. Had two of my own youth pulls come through that ended up playing for the U20 and senior national team. About 10 years on and I still remember the older guys name - Pedro El Abaseri. Loved that guy as I got him when I was still a low level team. Can't remember the younger ones name but I know that by the time he was 20 he had the highest defensive level (albeit by only a week or two) for a 20yo in Oceanian history. Pretty sure that changes that they made to the game after that means that he'd still hold that record.
Lost some interest when they changed the way wages were calculated and made it pretty much impossible for teams to stay competitive at the top level while training those top national team players, and then lost further interest when I realised I was basically at the highest level a defence trainer could reach without sacrificing training too much (which would ultimately result in a lack of funds hurting me a few seasons later as I'd have one or two less players to sell). Obviously I could have changed training to something else, but I enjoyed the challenge of training defence.
Remembering all of it kind of makes me want to give it another go. See what changes they've made to the old girl over the years.
