Unpopular opinion, but I think Liverpool will struggle this season. I don't see them dropping out of the top four, but they won't get close to the title. I hate to say it, but Spurs look a much better side.
I don’t think we’ll get close to City but I still think we’ll end up second.

We’re playing terribly at the moment. Very much hung over from Wednesday.

Southampton should be 2 up. They'll lose this because of missing chances like this.

I see another lucky Liverpool 1-0 win with some scrappy goal
We look like a calamity waiting to happen at the back. I've never see our defense look this shaky. And the offense just hasn't been able to get going.

We'll have to wait and watch. I think spurs have improved massively, todays match against City should give us more data.

23 is still pretty young for a midfielder, especially one at Madrid. Modric needed a little while to get going at Spurs as well.

He's had one good game thus far against some of the weakest opposition around, let's gain a sense of perspective. That doesn't mean he's good enough for Madrid.

Other teams were wary of the deal (including us) because we'd prefer to sign a play permanently rather than risk a player coming in and becoming a key part of the side, then departing immediately. That's the risk Arsenal have taken with this transfer.
Not much of a risk, 4m for a ready made replacement for Ramsey is pocket money. Who knows what will happen in the summer, a very good chance he might leave and go back to Madrid or maybe we can strike a deal if we want him. Either way, if he can gives us 10/15 games at this level against better teams then it would have been well worth it. And if he doesn't and falls off a cliff then we can still revert to Torreira-Xhaka and adjust to a more defensive pairing. We didn't have the money to buy someone permanently anyway.

They probably will but that is all if's and maybe's for now.

I think we'll end up significantly far behind you but probably comfortably 3rd.
Probably Eriksen will be a huge miss if he ends up leaving this window. Don't see Ndombele or Lo Celso as the type of players that can control games as Eriksen does on his day.

That's the worst yellow I've seen in a long time. That was like a tutorial on the perfect tackle and he got booked for it.

Liverpool are so protected.

Joke of a decision. No advantage first of all, and then nothing wrong with that tackle. Mariner having a mare.

Joke of a yellow card. Marriner quietly goes about as one of the worst officials in the league. Atkinson and Dean get the hype, but he can be just as terrible.

The art of defending by TAA again leaving Adams with loads of space. Southampton need a goal from this good play.

Southampton away is a big game..?
Was speaking about the quality of save, Schmeichel esque. And Adrian is an average keeper but playing like a world beater so far.

If this goes in 0-0 at the half, Liverpool will be happy. And will beat saints second half after all the energy saints have used

Even if they have won their two games, Liverpool's defense looks more 2017/2018 than last season.

we're getting totally owned by Southampton, this Southampton side is really average but they are playing much better than us. So frustrating to watch at the moment.

As soon as the ball goes into Wijnaldum or Milner everything slows down.
