What's your lowest point as a supporter since 2013?

Vs Southampton in 2015 at home, lost 0-1. Didn’t have a single shot on target. We’ve clearly had heavier defeats and worse moments since and before then, but I think my expectation has been lowered so much that it doesn’t feel so bad now.

I thought we would be fine under LvG eventually, but that Christmas period was brutal and I remember just having the worst resignation after that game that we were going to be shit for a long time.

It was the last few weeks under Mourinho. He was completely toxic over the summer and it was a bit depressing hearing from him after the enjoyment of the World Cup but at that stage I was fairly confident he would be gone within a couple of months but those last few weeks it just felt like the club weren't going to bite the bullet and do what needed to be done, it was such a relief when they finally sacked him.

The lowest point that I have had as a supporter was the day that Moyes was sacked. I received a phone call earlier that day from my brother, who told me that our father had died. On the 3 and a bit hour drive over, I caught the news on the radio as I was stuck in traffic that Moyes had been sacked as United manager. Lots of pundits and phone-ins about what it now meant for the club. It was already a terrible day to begin with (for obvious reasons), but that day made me realise too that, as a football club, we were in a serious mess for the first time, particularly after Sir Alex. I just remember being in that car with that rain hammering on the window and everything feeling very far away.

Don't sign old players and cast offs
Somewhere under LvG when Schweinsteiger on the ball looked up, saw a man running ahead into space, turned and passed backwards. To be repeated by himself and others. LvG had clearly set rules on when to pass the ball forward and when not to, and it was mostly when not to. Unsurprisingly people stopped running into space.

Hopefully those that said last Thursday was their lowest point are feeling better today.

The variety of responses to this thread demonstrates what a dismal few years it has been since Fergie. For me:

Olympiakos away (and Carrick’s equally flat interview post match showing the players were just as lost as the fans were)

Liverpool 0-3 13/14 - couldn't even force myself to watch this

Everton away 18/19 - wish I hadn’t forced myself to watch this one

Christ - is there a post-fergie highs thread somewhere that can cheer me up?

2013. Losing Sir Alex and suddenly being absolutely shite with the clown in charge who aspired to be more like Everton. It was a shock and a reality check. After that it was never so bad and kind of expected. It just felt numb.
