It's funny seeing City upset, but do you want Liverpool to win the league?

I don't get it. I don't want Liverpool to win the league.

ohhhh you mean City is the only one that can beat them to it? I don't care about that to be fair.

I just worry about us.

ps. have faith in VAR to feck Liverpool at some point.

they say lightning doesn't strike at same place but now this is 2 times in a row at same place and around same time :D Imagine frustration of City players, they totally dominated Spurs but have nothing to show for it.
So City's winning streak is gone. Spurs must be wondering how they managed to draw this one but I am sure spurs fans wont care, 1 point is always good at Etihad.

Red Card for Casemiro!
Technicalities shouldn't be killing the mood of the game like that. I agree with the decision, but it should have been made far far earlier. There should be a smaller window after an incident (about 30 seconds to start with) after which VAR cannot be used to roll back such monumental moments in games.

VAR, in it's current version, is going to be a moodkill for PL football this season.

Besides, it is matchday 2. If we cannot enjoy this in August, we may as well as order our City kits already. Basically we should be supporting them all season long

We just murdered them 2-2. Fair play to Spurs took the 2 goals we gifted them and defended well 2nd half.

Ironic that our goal v Spurs was ruled out for exactly the same reason Llorentes was fine but I believe the rule changed in the off season. Shit happens, we've been on the wrong end of VAR but meh.., worst decision today was disallowing the foul on Laporte 1st half for a pen, which didn't go to VAR.

If we play that well going forward every day we'll win the league. If we defend like we did today, we'll ship a shit load of goals in doing it.

I mean some random brush of the arm along the way. It's just absurd. May as well give fouls for any tussles in the box and go full on metal with it.

It should be used sensibly not "Hmmm. Now what can we use from the 20 second buildup to the goal to disallow it".
It’s the conflict between the science of it and the refs interpretation, I guess. If they were to just use it “sensibly” you’re at the mercy of human error again. You wouldn’t get consistent application of it. If they use it to enforce every single little rule, they ensure they can be consistent. Unfortunately it results in even the most nitpicky decisions ruling out goals, as we’ve seen time and time again.

No it doesn't. If we win by any margin, we're top.
Means absolutely feck all at this stage.

We're more likely to contend for the 4th spot than title this season. Anyone who thinks otherwise is plain delusional.

Not exactly the same, it was hard to tell if Llorente handled the ball whilst the City handball today was blatant under the new rules.

fecking shame you can't handle the ball in a game called football.
Yeah because everything in football is done with the foot.

But anyway, it’s understandable why this rule is as it is. It’s obvious in this situation it was accidental but if you have that in, it creates a serious area of grey which requires judgement.

Why not let the season play instead of being so negative on matchday 2
