Im not even English but I think I know why people make fun of scouse accent.

Gawd his'elp us... this is supposed to be RAWK's match preview post:
RAWK said:
I’m talking about that goal. That fecking beach ball goal. A goal, deflected in, off a fecking beach ball.

That that goal was allowed to stand without at least a minor inquest into the state of Premier league refereeing really tells you almost all you need to know about Premier League refereeing. And unlike the football, the refereeing has, if anything, got worse from what should have been an approach-changing nadir. But no. An admittedly little used but nonetheless obvious, basic and interpretation-free rule that all referees should be able to judge and apply without a second’s hesitation was, completely inexplicably, ignored. But that wasn’t all that pissed me off about it. No. What really rubbed salt into the wound for me was the reaction of the then Sunderland and now Newcastle (and doesn’t that combination of clubs suggest a little something about what actually motivates this particular Football Man (TM)) manager, Steve Bruce, in suggesting that knowledge of such a rule would constitute a level of geekery that a Football Man couldn’t be expected to be reduced to.

Well feck you, Bruce. feck you for not knowing the rules of a game that’s made you a millionaire (many times over if you’ve invested it wisely), and feck you even more for wearing your ignorance about it as a badge of pride instead of just acknowledging that you got the mother of all lucky strokes to win that game.

The rawness I still feel about that incident can perhaps be explained if you look at my post history from that last year of Rafa’s. What you’d read is indicative of a young(er) man who’d invested too much of himself into this forum and this club, spending too much of my time fighting a losing battle against those I perceived to be against Rafa, and taking a lot of posts from a lot of sound posters far too personally, as if it were me they were attacking rather than a man who genuinely deserves that Football Man (TM) description so readily applied to mediocrities like Bruce.

What a fecking dive

If this is given then VAR is useless. The ref is arguing it’s not a clear and obvious error.

Flicking insanity. Keep diving lads, they will do nothing.
That was plain robbery.
It was a dive. Pure and simple
WHAT A feckING DIVE!! THERE'S NO feckING POINT TO VAR IF THAT DOESN'T GET OVERTURNED!!!!

A feckING JOKE!!!
Exactly. He throws himself over with no contact.
I agree yet no one seems to have seen the dive. The commentators haven't seen a replay.
The ones on my feed have and called it a poor decision as well.
I was listening to 5 Live their commentators have just been told by the people in the studio it was a dive.
Yet BT sport are telling me that it was a lapse in concentration by Robertson.. laughable.
That's a pathetic decision by the officials - absolutely pathetic
Come on Reds lets rain on their parade.
2-0
Ah well....

Still.... if I had to lose one game it would be this one.
We'll rip these a new one at Anfield.
It's been one of those nights. Won by a piece of cheating. We have been our own worse enemies those our final ball hasn't been efficient enough.
Wake up call. We will have to do it the hard way again
Undeserved that. Massive massive mistake to award that pen, and for the 2nd, confusion all around.

Deserved a point at the very least.

Hopefully we rip Chelsea to shreds
feck me id forgotten what this losing lark felt like.

Where’s the cat I need to kick it.

It's pretty clear they ve gained a lot of glory hunter bandwagon fans who are not Scouse because the spelling and grammar seems to be of an unusually high level. There s barely even any profanity in it.

The first of many hopefully.

With a bit of luck they’re going to be a bit like Arsenal around 15 years ago (feck was it that long ago when they were last good?) when they were seemingly unbeatable until they lost and then went on a 5 game streak of losses and draws.

Napoli have our number don't they. They've done us again.

Front three were all off it all night, wasted so many opportunities.

At least that's the toughest game on paper out the way.
Great performance. Robbed by a dive / the referee.

Managers and players need to start speaking out about VAR because its fecking pointless.
Absolute shitshow in the final 10 minutes. What is it about that stadium that brings out the worst in us? Two seasons in a row now....
Arf! we sucked balls, not seen us that bad for ages. One of those nights, no big deal
Cheating c*nts. I'm fecking fuming. I hope we absolutely destroy them at Anfield. fecking celebrating like they won the whole fecking thing. Twats. VAR and the Ref are a fecking disgrace. Get fecked Napoli. c*nts.
That was the hardest game of the group done with. We'll do these bunch of cheats at Anfield. Up the fecking reds. YAWN.

Really don’t like going to Naples do we? Bit of a mare from robbo there to be honest. Never mind roll on Chelsea and their non existent defence.
Well that was completely expected. Bored of Napoli now. Doesn't really matter, still going through.
That’s on some awful attacking decisions as much as the defensive mistakes at the end. Feel sorry for Mo tonight, he’d be getting pelters again if he’d put in the performance Sadio or Bobby did tonight. Absolute basic, simple opportunities that they didn’t take/create.
Ugh, can't win every game.
Didn't play too badly, but were blunt upfront. Thought we defended very well for the most part.
But that's the hardest game out of the way.
Still need much improvement on the road in the CL though.
Don't think our front three were really on it tonight. Mane has got to make that pass to Salah. We just weren't linking up very well. Bobby had a quiet game.

That pen was harsh as feck too.
Cant wait to get these c*nts back to anfield...
Thought it was a really professional away performance in the Champions League... until it wasn't. Onwards and upwards
Napoli are such a pathetic bunch of players. No wonder the league is full of so much tolerated racism, I mean cheating on the pitch is the norm.

Ah feck em. Let them enjoy their 5 minutes of fame for beating the European champions. We know we're better than they'll ever be.

Suck it up, get back home and get ready for Chelsea.
Haven't seen a ref that desperate to award a penalty to the home team since Howard Webb retired. Maybe the Cosa Nostra had his children hostage.

It's amazing how not one of them owns up to Salah's diving but they're all over it when someone else does.

They love mocking James for it even though 1) it was once, and 2) we weren't happy about it.

Great keeping by Adrian.

Our passing was shyte, we musta been in the box 8 times without a shot.

Just (dare I say it?) Shoot. The. fecking. Ball!
The ref was terrible. Missed loads of fouls on Salah cos Salah didnt dive. Im disgusted with football tonight
Salah generally gets pulled and pushed but no ref ever seems to give a foul. Tonight there was a foul on Salah in the box but no penalty. If the referee isn't going to see the fouls then it's time that Salah falls and asks the question.
Stephen Warnock on BBC saying it was a clear pen as well and Robbo stuck his leg out
He changed his mind

"Stephen Warnock

Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live

Straightaway we thought it was a penalty, but in a way, the referee has been conned by Jose Callejon.

Having seen it again, that is when VAR should come in and overturn the decision. "
Jurgen just called it 'Clear and obvious not penalty'
I was fearing he wouldn't call it out, as he usually likes to avoid any controversary it's good he has said that. Sometimes things need to be said.
Were....were we beaten?
Forgot what that felt like.

5Live reckons it's soft but give-able in real time & then, not a terrible enough mistake (bit of contact) to be overturned by VAR

Scouse summariser Stephen Warnock is now irately wanting expert ex pros to do the VAR - (he said it was a penalty to start with, :D)

Would normally not think like this, but this year I can see LFC winning the league with a strong early surge while City a re a bit shit
I don’t really care about the League and FA Cup but the CL absolutely does. I want us to win the league but no fecking way are we sacrificing the Champions League.
Despite the blatant error with the decision and the loss, I'm excited to see this group bounce back yet again, mentality monsters

"So we've conceded two penalties this season so far and both were dives"

 Brilliant if true, Salah got few for diving last season.

We were a better Mane pass to Mo away from leading.
I hope they kiss and make up before sunday.

BFF's an'all ***.
and the winner is:
Salah needs to start going down when he’s fouled in the area
but,but
Then he gets called a diver. But this is why players do go down, if they stay on their feet the referees don't give the decision. It's mental.
Did you forget the public examination of every single step Salah took in and around the box last season?

Kicked in the back of the leg twice against Arsenal... DIVE, how dare he go down after being fouled

Yes, you're right, same fella, and he was absolutely shocking that night. Felix Byrch is a shite ref, but because he's German, people think he's reliable. Also gave the absolute joke of a pen against Milner (who had his arm as close to his side as possible) when we beat Roma 5-2. He's a complete gobshite.
do they know where is their manager from?? shhhh, don't tell them

Oh, one more thing. Koulibaly. He was really good for them.
He wound me up the entire game for the exact opposite of what you’re saying

I actually thought our final balls and decision making made him look brilliant. He was a presence fair enough but you can see him getting span around like a top at Anfield

I’m waiting for it in fact
Koulibaly is very good but he goes to ground a bit too easily for my liking.
I thought he had a mixed game, in his good moments he was very good, but he had some really awkward ones as well.
For £150m he'll certainly improve City's defence.
I don't get the pundits saying it's a stonewall penalty, and a few are saying it.
We are capable of fighting on both fronts, no way we should not be trying to win the CL.
Agree totally. We won one last year and missed the other by a single arsey point. No reason at all why we can't do both.

about Salah needing to go down..
He did that and there was a concerted effort in the media to brand him a diver so that he got feck all from refs.

So unless he comes up against a brain dead defender like David Luiz who’ll pull his shirt so blantantly it’s impossible not to give, he can’t win.
feck the media. Seriously he shouldn’t change the way he plays because the media have a wobble when he goes down in the box. Rather give the ref a decision to make .
Angry. totally un-liverpool performance in more ways than 1.

Next time we should refuse to play football if the weather is too hot and humid.
err
