He was one of the best striker prospects when He joined us. I honestly think his ignorance about maintaining his weight costed him. He became more sluggish with his movements and it seems like He hasn't learned much from it, or maybe not even realizing it.

Seems like not long ago people were chanting about his d*ck and Mourinho came out to say it was not an appropriate chant.
Wonder what went so wrong after that... I remember he also scored a strong header from a cross in his first Premier League match for us and we all said how long had it been since we scored from a cross. Now that all seems so...surreal.

Luke Shaw is nowhere near as lean as Lukaku.

Lukaku is 104kg and probably about 10% body fat. Very impressive, if not ideal for football.
1-lol
2-many lesser physically imposing specimen have made a mockery of his fitness. Rooney, Anderson, Shaw, all played when overweight, but Lukaku plays at the speed of the Lebanese first league. I'm serious, the guy huffs and puffs his way around a game, and if he can't see that he is massively overweight, then there is nothing to discuss.

Arnold Schwarzenegger weight 107 kgs in his prime and is roughly the same height as Lukaku. He is nearly as heavy as The man who has made a career out of being huge.

He looks about 10% to me, but how do you judge? I’ve seen skinner blokes than me with higher fat levels than myself. You simply cannot tell by just looking at him. Finding this thread very badly reflecting on United fans. They wished him gone and now are ridiculing him at every opportunity. Plus then there’s all the fitness experts
Rule of thumb: normal people show abs around 12 to 13. Around 10 and less is when abs stick out.
Bodybuilders can show abs at high teens. Face fat is also a very good metric for bfp, and Lukaku is chubby

All the same technical deficiencies in his game now were evident when he was at Everton, which is why a lot of people never wanted him here in the first place. The physical side of his game has suffered from his bizarre weight gain experiment, but his technique is as awful as it’s always been.

The worst thing for me is the weird logic he needed to bulk for the world cup. To become stronger or something.
Lukaku never struggle in terms of strength before so what was the need for the bulk ?

Suspect that was a baseless excuse more than anything. He came back bigger from the World Cup so cited the World Cup as the reason he was bigger.

Not saying Ronaldo should be the standard since hes a freak, but according to google he (Ronaldo) is 6'2 and 84 kilos and he has A LOT of muscle mass. Even if Lukaku was all muscle it would be way to heavy for a footballer
The whole thing is simple tbh, Lukaku should look at his stats when he played his best football and look to get closer to them. The whole "bulk" has been a massive failure so time to lose weight.

Yeah and like I said earlier Kane who is basically the same height as Lukaku( there is a cm or 2 difference) is 85kgs or so.

His problem is technicality and not just about phisique. If had a Berbatov touch no one would be giving him this much stick for that huge body.
You seem to forget how much stick berbatov got. Was called lazy, slow, lackadaisical etc. He also had to come out and say he runs 5 miles a day and other things to validate he was fit. Hard to please United fans sometimes

The only reason I can think Inter paid us £72m is that someone told them that Lukuku would be worth his weight in gold... seems the meaning got lost in translation.

The sulking fool has had 2 months of pre season to get fit - complete lack of professionalism.

If they don’t know already, Inter fans are in for a very frustrating time watching this oaf lumber about the pitch.

That Oaf is leading goalscorer for his Country and scored everywhere he has been. The weight problem can be handled by proper diet and training. We have enough coaches and dieticians associated with this club to see this, and it should have been addressed.
Then again the player himself has to show professionalism by looking after himself.

What he does for his country is irrelevant.

Of course his weight problems can be managed, but they haven’t been in over a year - doesn’t matter how many dieticians you have when he doesn’t have the application and professionalism to sort himself out. He’s pathetic.

Look behind the stats. The Oaf only scored 3 goals in his entire United career against teams in the top half of the table. A single goal in 23 appearances against a top 6 club. Very poor.

That’s shocking. Absolutely shocking.

He does everyone know what players weigh?

That stuff is never, ever disclosed.
With Lukaku you pretty much just have to look at him. He's visibly too big and visibly slowed down by his weight. He's also visibly out of breath for alarmingly long periods after he sprints.

I reckon (purely speculating) he was told by United to get hismelf in better shape before he could train with the main group, which is why he threw a strop and fecked off to Belgium, since he knew he was likely off anyway and also doesn't seem to accept any kind of criticism.

Neville talks a lot of shite but I agree with him on Lukaku. Not even keeping yourself fit isn't really down to bad management or coaching. It's a basic lack of professionalism from the player and tolerating it can cause it to spread through the squad.

He's football version of Dwight Howard.

No matter how huge he is he's still softy inside, that will never change.

Dwight or KD? I guess at least KD is one of, if not the best player in the world. Lukaku definitely has a few burner accounts though :lol:
Durant is one of the best players in the world, he's shown time and again he's not afraid of pressure or anything.

Howard for all his size is easily bullied like Lukaku, and when you need him the most (finals, or some important games, matches against top six for Lukaku) he's nowhere to be seen.

He's looking quite good actually, like others have said he shouldn't have bulked up as much as he did.

I was more talking about the off the pitch insecurity but otherwise you're completely right.

Still, I can definitely see Lukaku with a few twitter burners.

@lukakusexgod69: Lukaku is not fat, he is the strongest and fairest in all the land and has a lot of sex. Also, he is very very fast and dumb Luke Shaw should shut his mouth

I actually think he is a very good striker. Consistency was his real problem. Good luck to him at Inter.

He’s a fat shit.

He also has a ludicrously high opinion of his ability and worth to a team.

For a goal scorer, he’s not even that prolific.

So glad he’s no longer stinking the place up.

TBH I really don't know that much about NBA players on the court, let alone outside of it :nervous:

oh and this bolded part is too funny
