Exactly the type of player we need.
He seems very level-headed in his interviews. It could be media training, him putting on a fake face, but it's funny how many people call him a twat without ever meeting himNeeds to stop going out on the piss and getting barred from nightclubs for being a twat for a start
Doesn’t scream “driven professional” to me.
Great player though. Maybe that twattish arrogance helps him as a player, Neymar hasn’t done too badly with it.
From the stories posted, he doesn't sound a "little bit arrogant"He seems very level-headed in his interviews. It could be media training, him putting on a fake face, but it's funny how many people call him a twat without ever meeting him
He's a young rich footballer, he's set for life, his family is set for life, can anyone on this forum say they wouldn't be a little bit arrogant if in his position ?
Yeah absolutely, no need to behave like that.He seems very level-headed in his interviews. It could be media training, him putting on a fake face, but it's funny how many people call him a twat without ever meeting him

Feck dude. There's a difference between arrogant and confident.I want arrogant players. Players that think they are the best.
We have too many nice guys. We need more characters, more bad asses.
He's 22, not 19.Yeah absolutely, no need to behave like that.
But I'll give benefit where it's due - he's 19 and deffo not mature yet, could become a great guy later on, could be just a bit misunderstood / having a laugh at the min.
This really, Gomes is going to be far beyond what Maddison is if he is given the games.Angel Gomes.
He's 22, not 19.

I agree, was very hit and miss at times.I feel like 'a strong display' is giving Maddison too much credit. He was very poor at vital moments.
Why do you keep referring to de Bruyne by his first name?Got shades of Kevin about him I think. The speed of his game is top notch, and he’s a player who will constantly create chances.
What’s wrong with saying players by their first names? Why do you keep referring to de Bruyne by his first name?
Who the feck is KevinGot shades of Kevin about him I think. The speed of his game is top notch, and he’s a player who will constantly create chances.

We need to talk about Kevin.Who the feck is Kevin
Because his surname is De Bruyne and his first is Kevin. Why do you keep referring to de Bruyne by his first name?
Isn't KDB better?Because his surname is De Bruyne and his first is Kevin.
Dunno, maybe.Isn't KDB better?
The little rascal who got left behind by his parents in a big house in Chicago.Who the feck is Kevin
You have to think that by the time he’s 24 he’d have ironed a lot of that out. He’s already a very good player and seems to have a real hunger for the game. If he makes the right next move, he could become a really top player I think. He reminds me so much of KDB in that he has that instinct to directly threaten the opponents goal with the least amount of touches. Kev always takes the shortest route to a goalscoring chance, which is his best asset to me. He’s trying to hurt you with his first or second touch typically. Maddison has some traits, and he has the quality on his delivery to go with it. By 24 he’ll be a real player I think. Was great in the second half, seemed intent on making the difference. Some of the moments he retained the ball in were top class. He sometimes took the wrong decision but his ability seemed to change the direction of the tie.
