His price will drop down to 6.4 in the next couple of days.

I’m thinking of going for someone cheaper (possibly Ceballos for 5.5?), to then use the extra to upgrade B.Silva to De Bruyne.

There isn’t many great options in midfield between 5.0 - 6.5.
Ceballos sounds cheap, and could be a terrific long term, but I see they have Liverpool and Tottenham in their next two. So maybe not great timing.

Yes! Barkley that cnut didn't play! Shocker was he didn't play the full game against Liverpool... I was sure he'd come on!

Once Lord Lundstram subs in, I suddenly go from 37 with AWB to play to 51! And no one else in my league has him except one guy who'll end up near the bottom any way :D
Once a luck season mate. Enjoy.

Usual routine, is the dreaded 1 or 2 min cameo.

Barkley and Fraser stinking up my team. Both will probably drop in price soon as well but I don't want to make a transfer so early.

Tough decisions to be made, especially as Ceballos is about to rise is price tonight. I might get him in now, then decide if I start him or Lundstram/Kelly who are sitting on my bench.

Fraser will drop tonight.
Yeah just saw that. Wanted to bring in Martial but can't bring myself to do it before he plays tomorrow. If he gets injured, I'd be in a real mess. Guess I'll have to put up with the loss in value.

I had so much bad luck last season that I'll celebrate the one good one this year!

If he gets injured, you have bench players to cover. The price rises and falls are far more important at this stage where all the casual and kneejerkers feck up the pricing.

Thanks to all those who suggested Henderson.

No one suggested Henderson :(

Henderson 9 points, Ederson 1 point

39pts with Maguire still to play and Greenwood to come off my bench if he gets any minutes.

Poor week this one but I expected it. Team looks really good for next week and 2 FT's too.

Problem of the premium keeper isn't it - you have to go with them almost every week or you feel you've wasted money.

Tempted to swap Agüero for Pukki. He’s not a nailed on starter anymore, and I could use the money saved to get Pogba/De Bruyne.

Wildcard played
I'm tempted to do the same. I think it's a good time to use it once you've got a better idea who the regulars are. My team isn't even doing that badly, but I'd like to make 4 or 5 changes so I might do the lot...

This is my current squad:

Adrian and Ryan

VVD, Walker-Peters, Lascelles, Diop, Kelly

Salah, Sterling, Martial, Felipe Anderson, Douglas Luiz

Kane, Jimenez, Greenwood

Thinking of putting in Lundstram for Diop or Lascelles. Used my FT last week to bring Adrian in so only have one.

Should I WC out Greenwood and Walker-Peters to try and get Pukki in with Lundstram and another cheap defender? Or hold firm and just take out one of Lascelles/Diop and wait to see what develops?
Going to replace Jimenez with Pukki and Lascelles with Lundstram. Take a -4 hit and wait to use my WC.

I'm doing absolutely terribly and would appreciate some advice .I thought I'd try and be "smart" and have lots of the newer players eg Pulisic, Haller and Pepe etc. Its blown up in my face and I'm a long last in my work league!! It also didn't help Pep continued to troll me as he has in the last few seasons and didnt play Aguero for most of the first game. It would have been even worse had he not retaken the penalty.

I wanted to have Aguero as I often have him and they used to at least start him. Hes also expensive so I'd rather start off with him than trying to work him in

So I'm fed up of Pepe not playing so he is definitely gone and also apparently Haller is injured though the game failed to tell me that, fortunately I'll get Grealish who had the decency to get an assist.

So I'm thinking of removing: Pepe, Aguero and Haller and taking a -4

Possibles:

-De Bruyne, Pukki & Auba (1.8m left spare) (did notice arm band on De Bruyne yesterday so less chance of Pep trolling? However I had Auba last year and he annoyed me as he was inconsistent)

-Mane, Pukki & Lacazette (1.3m left spare) would mean no City players so potentially no Pep trolling but feels wrong

-Firmino, Pukki & Sterling (0.7m spare)

-De Bruyne, Lacazette & Firmino (0.5m left)

I'm leaning towards the first option currently as most people in my league have Salah or Kane or Sterling, in some cases a combination of the 2

I've pencilled down Ceballos but he will have to wait until I have less pressing issues!

As I predicted. Cantwell with one more good game. I could not take him because of future and what I’m trying to do.

It was pretty bad week for me and my only hope is that Martial and WanBissaka produce something to put me near 50. Even though it is big fall from over 100 last week.

Now to some new predictions. I think that Pukki fans will have bleak next couple weeks. It is easy to jump on Pukki-train but i’m not going that way. Instead I’m waiting for prices to fall to some forwards to get in.

For next week I’m getting rid of 2 players and if that goes well I can wait one or two more gameweek to look at wildcard.

I’d stick with Pepe, he’s just building up his fitness but before long he’ll be a nailed on starter. I’ve had him from the start and it’s disappointing he’s been a sub for both games, but he’s down as a midfielder which obviously means more points, and got bags of goals and assists last season. He’ll get going before long.

I was tempted to put Ceballos in but it’s hard to see where his points will come from. He doesn’t score many, and apart from the odd assist/MOTM he’s not going to get as many points as other players around his price point.

Ok thanks will leave him for now i haven't seen Arsenal yet this season but apparently they've been pretty attacking .

I'd like to get KDB in which I can afford if I remove this time Haller, Pulisic and Aguero and put in KDB, Firmino & Pukki but Lampard's Chelsea are attacking. Firmino isn't overly consistent but you know he will play it feels wrong jettisoning Aguero but Pep is annoying me but will he then go and troll me with KDB while Pulisic gets a hat trick? I'd have 1.3m left if I do this

Though I had a good week this time, played my WC.
Pope, De Gea
Lundstrom, Pieters, Wan Bissaka, VVD, Digne
Mcginn, KDB, Pogba, Madisson, Cantwell
Pukki, Firmino, Kane

Have 1.4 in the bank. Any advice if I should incorporate any other player(s)?

I’d swap out DDG or AWB and get Martial in the team.

Our main striker this season and he’s listed as a midfielder.

Anyone gone with Mason Mount? Thoughts. Some good fixtures coming up, but not convinced he’ll play consistently yet.

I am tempted to make Lundstram my permanent starter and transfer our Walker-Peters for Kelly (who would be almost always on the bench).

Then again I am not sure what I would do with my remaining funds anyway.

Barkley already gone for Callum Robinson. I love how both Lundstram and Robinson are treated one position back to what they really are.

All those looking to get Lundstram in for first choice....have you seen his fixtures? It's red as far as the eye can see.

Had a shite start so I've used my WC.

Pickford / Button

Pieters / Wan Bissaka / Walker-Peters / Keane / Lundstram

KDB / Mane / Martial / Sterling / Dendoncker

Lacazette / Barnes / Greenwood

Pretty happy with that, especially the midfield. Hoping Martial can kick on as a 9 and score a decent amount of goals.

Way better than @esmufc07's

Pope
Laporte WanB Pieters
Salah Sterling KDB Ceballos
Lacazette Pukki Barnes

Button Cantwell Lundstram Kelly
Was tempted for Pukki, but think Norwich have a tough set of fixtures coming up so can't see them scoring too many. I'm always wrong about football though so he'll probably score 10 in the next 4 games or something.
