He was 16 not 12, and I’m pretty certain he’d have had his say, not forced into it. And yes he jumped ship, just like he did when he went to Juve and now he’s trying to get out of United.
But anyways enough Pogba. Angel isn’t leaving and he’ll get 20 games this season...
You expect someone not to move from a second rate French team to United when given the opportunity? Well alright then.

This thread was a loop about people discussing his height. Now it's a loop about him signing his contract.

Can't wait until his time comes. I can see him quickly becoming a hugely popular player with football supporters in general. Everyone loves a high class midget baller. Zola, Juninho etc
Yep, really could be an international superstar.

You don't know what the phrase *jump ship* means, and that's why you're going to get some criticism for your comments.

Wow! 14-year-old Gomes is really mature and the movement! Hopefully, he gets some proper minutes today.

Love that Butty name checked him. It shows how highly they do rate him, and i'm sure we will be trying our best to get him minutes wherever possible.

Chelsea and Wolves aren't that place, but I hope against Palace he can get some.

I really do think he and Greenwood are nailed on.

I decided to compile @khoazany footage into one video for Gomes just to show off the technical skill of 14 year old Gomes.

WTF  his ball control and the way he turns are quite frankly amazing. I love the way he shifts it side to side while moving forwards, it's just impossible to predict.

What a player

He's got some of the best close control I've ever seen in a player his age, his balance and agility is almost unmatched, he'll make mince meat of seasoned pro's more than once this season. He's a very special talent, very excited to see the player he'll become.

Cannot wait to see this guy and Greenwood become regulars in our squad. We lack intelligent players and these guys are so good on the ball and with their decisions they'll really add new dimensions to our play.

No doubt he is very very talented, but some seem to think he'll be a regular starter. He wont. He will play a couple of games, but not much in the prem this season. He will be behind Lingard and Mata in the pecking order

We have players who are very intelligent with the ball. They just don't always play for under 18's/23's and in friendlies, so fans tend to underestimate them.

How about we wait until we've played a substantial amount of games before deciding how many games he's going to play.

Hope he's on the bench tonight, think we might need some of that skill to open up a very compact, well drilled Wolves defence if we are behind or level with 20-25 minutes to go. Think he will get plenty of opportunities this season from the bench, but hopefully by season's end will be first pick for the number 10 position. Like Greenwood though, Ole will need to manage them properly, they are still both young men, and not physically mature yet.

Compared to teams like City, we're far behind in that regard. If Gomes and Greenwood keep improving, they'll help us close the gap.

I'd very much doubt 2 kids are going to be closing any gaps. They're promising talents and if they're able to develop and transfer their skills to the first team then all good. City are leagues above United and a more than able to spend and improve every season. It's going to be a real challenge to get anywhere near to them, they're very capable of dominating English football for the next 5 years.

United need to get back into the Champions League first, Greenwood can play a part in that as he operates in a rea we're short of options. Gomes really needs to impress Ole to get some gametime. Plus he'll need to show some commitment to the club, as he'll be able to talk to overseas clubs in January.

No one in the press seems remotely concerned about his contract. It's all Greenwood.

He's not really had that much media spotlight recently, compared to Greenwood at least who has about a million articles printed about him, it's allowed him to fly under the radar a bit. So maybe they just don't realise it's a big concern, once he puts in a good performance for us you can bet the Sun/Mail etc will be shitting out articles about how he's agreed a deal with Barcelona/Real Madrid/Bayern/Juventus on a free contract.

Yep. It's as clear to anyone with a pair of functioning eyes that we have no worries. If we were in any way shape or form worried, his number would not have been upgraded, he'd have been in the U-23s almost indefinitely, Nicky Butt wouldn't have talked him up over the weekend, and he would have been conspicuous by his social media activity.

A few games on the bench and a couple of starts in the EL and we'll see him sign a new contract. The kid obviously loves being at the club, and he's obviously loved by the fans and the club.

I genuinely can't wait til he makes that breakthrough. A truly magic player, and if he and we play our cards right, he'll be ours for more than a decade :keano:

Not overthe next season or two, but in 5+ years as they become more experienced into their 20s and keep improving at the rate they are, there's the chance for us to have two genuine stars in our team from the academy. Throw in the ability and intelligence of Garner and that's a serious crop of talent.

I wish ole throw him a bit of a bone here and there and mention his name. Has he mentioned him once since pre-season?

What does Angel have to do to get a start? Today would have been perfect. Does he need to sign his contract first?

Him, Chong and Greenwood will be lucky if they get 5 starts between them, more’s the pity.

Wolves away would definitely not have been perfect. There’ll be plenty of more suitable opportunities for him in the very near future.

Hardly "perfect", Wolves is an incredibly difficult stadium to go to.

Why are you people so impatient? 2 games into the season, the starting line up is already young as it is, so is the bench.

More established players were always going to play ahead of him in a difficult fixture. Why is it so hard to just be patient?

How can people be so quick to reach conclusions, we're on our second game of the new season against consecutive top 8 quality teams.

I'm surprised so many thought he'd be involved tonight.

I'm guessing he won't feature until the Europa games come. Unless we get an injury crisis or something.

Why would today have been perfect? It’s one of the toughest fixtures on the calendar.

Wolves always most certainly is not the perfect time to make your full debut
