Last week I managed to lose my 5 million coins in about 4 matches. So I rage quit.

Today I went from 500 coins to 15 million.

I just have to stop playing after night shifts!
I've been there loads of times. Went from £500m back to sub £100m in the blink of eye after a losing run in Berlin where it felt like I hardly got a shot. Very frustrating.

I don't tend to get too frustrated by the matches where you don't get a shot. The ones that get to me are when you go on a good run but then miss the black and leave a half chance, then they go and clear up.

I've lost control of a few recently where I've tried to be clever and snooker my opponent while leaving myself an easy clearance for my next shot, only to hit it too hard and leave them a shot!

I also think you get far too long to play shots as well, I think it should be about half of what it is.

Shot time is dependent on what cue you're using. You get ages with some of the legendary ones.
See this is the thing I find odd. Fair enough change the cue power, spin etc... depending on how good your cue is but why would it alter the time available?! Surely the players that are playing with such good cues don't need so much time anyway.

It should be a universal say 10-15 seconds, I get so bored waiting for some players to play their shots I just feel like giving up and letting them have the win!

Yeah I agree about waiting. Some people blatantly leave it until the last second on purpose to annoy you into quitting. Wouldn't bother me as I play pretty fast anyway.

Another shady tactic is the deliberately shit break, encouraging you to smash into them with the second shot and pot the black by accident.

I don't think I've ever rage quit because someone is taking too long, but I've been close!

It's much better since I disabled in-game chat as well!

I don't think I recall anyone trying the shit break tactic on me, you're right in what you say - there's no telling where the black might end up if you go for power. Your eyes might light up thinking if this goes right I'll clear up but like you say the black will probably end up going in!

I think it's a decent game overall but it could do with a T20 version for people like us who play quickly!

I occasionally shit break or what I call 'tap break'. Purely to take control of the table and cover pockets etc. I find this game there's a lot of players who can clear up, but there's very few who can actually play pool in terms of tactically play etc.

I don't get it. Surely all you're doing in that regard is negating your own chance to clear the table? I have no issues playing tactically when required but if you've got the break you always start the favourite to win the frame.

People don't get it in real life either. That's pool for you.

I usually do it when I'm playing someone with a very high win percentage or first thing in the morning when I'm tired. The last thing you want to do is go for a finish and not fully concentrate on your patterns etc.

I think percent wise If I smashed break I'll clear 75%. Tactical break probably closer to 90.

People just don't know how to play tactical pool and it throws them off their game. If I lost one of those frames, it's not because they have played the right shots. It's usually because they have just smashed stuff it and gotten that rub of the green they need.

Hold on, I won an 18K tournament but it only gave me 2,160 gold in our league
It's a % based on where you are already placed in the league. As is your take home from any potential winnings at the end of the week.

e.g. if you're ranked in the top 10 of the club then 50% goes into the league total and you claim 5% of the end of week pot.

You must be ranked in 21-30 as only 12% of that goes into the league pot.

Oh right, so I get 15,840 in my personal piggy bank, and the team gets 2,160. Didn't realise it worked like that, I presumed that if you won 18K, that counted towards the team winnings for the week.

What an odd system.

I had to play really hard to win that tournament too.

I think you get all of your 18k so don't worry about that. It's just what goes into the club that is percentage based.

Played an absolute wab earlier. I was on the black, he had one ball left to play which was touching the cushion. I pushed the black ball right in behind it with the white behind the black. He then just let the timer run down so that I would get to place the white wherever I wanted. I didn't budge though and played him at his own game for a few rounds before he gave in, and opened up the black to be potted.

Any way to counter this? Should be some other sort of penalty for people with no intention of making the shot.

When someone does that to me I tend to just roll up behind the black but push his ball far enough way to make space for a pot if he fecks up.

I guess i should try to win a few more than a couple of thousand coins a week, otherwise I'll get thrown out. :nervous:
Can't buy a win since I started playing bigger games. :(

I should stick with my 1K games.
, how much is in your bank Col?
Those tournament‘s are a pita, I don’t bother with them, I usually stick to 9 ball and 100k/500k games.

Btw if you're from the caf. Let me know your username on there and I'll promote you to officer so you don't get kicked. Trying to trim the riff raff that joined when I opened it up last week.
Hey bud, I’m Steve lvl 158 in the team.

Don't know how people get into the millions. Every time I get a decent amount I get wiped out so quickly.
Like I said you have to build to it. Stay on one level for a while to build up bank, then move up but have a threshold that you won't go below before moving down again. The temptation to move up and try and recoup all your losses is when you often get stung.

I'm treating the coin balance as if I was playing poker with proper bankroll management. I have over 5M in coins but won't play above the Jakarta level so i'm not risking more than 1% of my bankroll in any one game

Pissed away 750k, down to 70k. Really shouldn't play on holiday with a few pints in me.

Also, guest accounts always seem to have 60%+ win percentages. Fills me with dread everyone I draw one.

So I have a few questions, only just picked this up and am at level 14.

Do people really not like breaking or think its a disadvantage? Ive had a lot of games where people let the clock run down just so they dont break. I usually pot off the break so it normally doesnt affect me Its just annoying.

Ive had cnuts leave just before I pot the black a good few times. In two of those occasions the white went in but I still won. Wtf is that all about? Just cnutish behaviour or is there a reason for it?

Also the cue charging, its surely a scam, Do I really need to charge my cue?

Finally can I not send tokens to a specific person anytime I want?

Can you see my image @Ramshock ?

If they leave before the end then they’re just quitting early because most of the time you will pot the ball and win.

As for the no break thing, I’ve no idea, like you say I usually pot something and I play 9ball most of the time and you can win from the break.

Christ. :annoyed:

@Ramshock - quite the opposite re:breaks . I get infuriated when I don't get my turn.

Cue charging is a pain yeah. You need to get a legendary one. Best best is save your cash (not tokens) until you get to 43 then open 3 legendary boxes. Keep doing this until you get one. They don't need to be recharged and they have the best stats in the game.

I think the best and quickest way to give tokens to someone is to play them and lose on purpose.
