..when it comes to the top 6 with this;

Shaw
Wan Bissaka
Maguire
Mctominay
Rashford
Lingard
James

7 out of the starting 11 last match with Greenwood coming off the bench to get some minutes too. Pretty impressive stuff with the likes of Tuanzebe and Gomes to come.

(Jones, Smalling, Young all still part of the squad but clearly not starters anymore).

How does the rest of the top 6 shape up in comparison?

I'm sure this will be a huge comfort when we finish 5th.

Obertans #1 fan.
I absolutely love seeing the local lads play for us. Always a massive positive. Rashford is one of the best young players in the world and grew up a stone’s throw away. Love to see that at United.

Hope some of the other lads from the reserves step up.

Call it Brexit FC if you like, but I love the fact we're bringing British talent through again. It's refreshing to see the likes of Rashford, Maguire, and Wan Bissaka leading the next generation of young players like Greenwood, Gomes and James. I actually feel like I give a shit about this team, and it feels more like United than the teams we've seen with Falcao, Rojo, Blind and Fellaini.

Definitely. McTominay is fast becoming one of my favourite players, you can tell he loves playing for the club. It makes such a difference having players with that attitude compared to someone like Di Maria.

I think the British XI, and it wouldn't even be close tbh. Sanchez and Mata in a front 3 is the stuff of nightmares. Darmian and Rojo in defence as well. :nervous:

For us once we get players fit we could have a list that looks like this.

James
Mount
Loftus Cheek
Hudson Odoi
Abraham

Barkley on the bench, Tomori and Cumming in the squad, hopefully Ampadu and Gilmour to follow in the coming years.

Christensen is also a homegrown player through the academy although not British.

Wont make a difference when the team doesn't amount to much.

Certainly think Chelsea are second in the list (although not sure about some of those players as they haven't been involved yet). Is it more down to circumstances or choice do you think? Guess we will know when the ban is lifted.

Utd won't be Utd until we have a couple of fire breathing Irish players tearing it up.

Of course, that would require Ireland to produce a quality player, which we haven't done in a decade or so.

We'll win the brexit cup for sure!!

Seriously though I am glad we have signed each of these British talents. AWB=insane upgrade from Young. Maguire = fantastic CB and more to come. James = really exciting potential.

We are good now, united have never been the same without a welsh influence at the club all the way back to Jimmy Murphy :D

We've also got some decent, young British talent.
