Does anyone get continuously logged out and logged back in? No idea if it’s related.
Yes. I'm logged out every time I open the caf, then logged back in as soon as I refresh. Annoying. @Niall

Edit: not refresh but clicking on the caf logo on the top.

The search function is a problem for me for certain words/phrases. After I go past the first page of responses into the 2nd/3rd/4th pages I get the error message:
Sorry, you are not allowed access that page

This thread is a great experiment to see who actually reads the OP

@Niall whenever i open the Caf it looks as if im logged out. Is this normal?
@Niall I keep getting logged off too. Now I can't log back in on my laptop, as the login button just keeps refreshing the homepage

The site asks me to login every damn time.
"One oddity already reported is being logged out on some pages and then back in again on others. This is temporary while we roll out the HTTPS change. In the meantime if you find yourself being logged out, click the site logo in the top left and that will take you to a secure version of the site where you should be logged in. So long as you follow links on the page you should stay logged in. If you follow bookmarks that use the old HTTP URL you could end up being logged out."

I have my keep logged in feature enabled. Everytime I visit a different site and come back to the caf, it appears logged out. The login link and buttons do not work at all. Clicking on them just refreshes the home page. I have to specifically point my browser to /logout. Except that instead of logging out, it shows that I’m logged in again. Very strange.

I use Brave browser on iPhone X. Brave uses the same engine that Chrome uses.

I think I know the problem. There isn’t any 301 redirect or rewrite rule from http to https.

@Niall could you set that up? Should only take a minute.

@Niall I can see the security certificate is a wildcard however when you go to www.redcafe.net it doesn't actually redirect to the secure site. Maybe it's worth checking the A records.

Thanks, this worked for me.

Yes redirects are coming. It was a conscious decision not to put them in from the start so we could wait about 24 hours to ensure the https implementation was working correctly. Putting redirects in and then trying to roll back to http if something was badly broken could turn out to be extremely hairy due to caching of the redirects.

Anyway, all looks well so redirects will be added in a couple of hours.

Redirects are now in place.

The logged out issues should now be fixed. If you are still having issues please let me know here.

@Niall Can you please tell me why when I try accessing the Manchester United forum, I can't access it. It just becomes a black screen with a white square which only shows the outline of the square? :)

EDIT: It is working now but found it strange how it happened when I tried accessing it several times. Seemed strange how it never happened before.

That sounds odd. Possible browser rendering bug. If it happens again send a screenshot to me?

Something is seriously wrong: the forum doesn't work at all in Google Chrome and in Opera browsers, for many days already.

With IE browser it does work, as well as in Safari...

What versions of those browsers are you using?

Clear all your cookies / cache for this site in Chrome and Opera and see if that fixes it?

Oh sorry!

But still, Niall should consider hosting select pics. It's a shame losing all history.
Compile a list of URLs to the images (even if it’s not working on here I.e. a http image) and I’ll see what I can do.
