Do you have a boss? Or are you lucky enough to work for yourself!? If you do have a boss, what the feck do you want him to say!? Feck Ed, Feck this midfield, and Feck this club, I QUIT BITCH!? Please enlighten us!?!? What constitutes not being a puppet and managing to not get fired!? Be like everyone's beloved Jose MOANrinho?

I'm sure I recall Martial missing one? Not that that's a criticism of course, everyone misses them
Yeah you’re right, missed against Benfica in 17/18. Still, I think he should be up there ahead of Pogba for the moment at least.

Here we go again with this Gary Neville thing. If you checked Twitter during the penalty incident and just after it the abuse had already started. It started long before Gary uttered a word. It’s not his fault it became what it did, unfortunately Twitter is full of a lot of this these days and social media in general.
Gary himself started the nonsense on Twitter right after Pogba missed the penalty than further perpetrated it on live television in front of a worldwide audience. So yeah I'm holding him part accountable for this penalty incident blowing out of proportion.

That's interesting - are there any instances of big clubs helping smaller ones in the past?
They'll be load of instances, especially when you include bigger clubs loaning players on favourable terms or playing friendlies etc. That said United nor anyone else will be pumping money into a terribly run club. It won't make an ounce of difference in the medium or long term.

Who takes next pen?
I’m sure you’re gonna see Paul Pogba score a pen for Manchester United again, definitely. We’re practising pens still and Marcus and Paul are still on them.
I'm glad Ole is still backing Pogba to take penalties if only to show support to his players rather than caving to media pressure. Of course I would personally rather have someone else take penalties but in this case if it means we're sticking for our own and giving the media and people like Gary Neville the middle finger than I'm all for it.

Not an example of a big club helping a smaller one by any means, but did Liverpool and Real Madrid not offer us help after the Munich Air Disaster? Would be an example of one club helping another in a time of crisis.

Im sure after the Munich Air Disaster, Bishop Aukland loaned us three players. Following that, memory is a bit vague here, but im sure we sent them quite a few donations of support in recent years.

Ole said exactly the right thing regarding penalties. Support the players publicly.

Oh yeah - apparently Madrid offered us Puskas on loan but the FA blocked it or something?

Yeah the FA felt it would stop the development of a young British player if we took the best striker in the world on loan for a season.

It was the golden arrow, De Stefano by the way, not Puskas.

Leaving aside the big club small club issue, United played at City's Maine Road ground in 40's after Old Trafford was bombed

Interesting fact in that article - the biggest attendance ever at a domestic league match was United vs Arsenal at Maine Road. United also played there in 50's, for evening matches before Old Trafford has floodlights installed

There was a lot of clubs who publicly said they would help but when United made enquires they either didn't have players to loan out or were offering 16 year olds from their youth teams. I think it was only Real Madrid, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest who genuinely tried to help.

Weak managment
Did you expect our manger to publicly call out Pogba only days after being racially abused online?

It’s a stock, pre-prepared answer designed to support - not criticise - both Rashford and Pogba. It’s mind-numbingly obvious that Rashford will take the next penalty we get. He just doesn’t need to announce it in the next presser straight after his best player has been caned in the press and online.

feck me.

These press conference are never about the game. its almost like a rewind. The only thing i am thinking about is what if Pogba scores? would it be an issue then. I see where Marcus is coming from and the reasons for it. As long as we do not have a Neymar/Cavani problem i am happy. I believe Rashford is one of the cleanest hitters of the ball though.

He's not going to publicly say, no Pogba is sh!t at pens and he's off them now! Reports already came out that he BLASTED both Rashford and Pogba over that Wolves fiaso and that Rashford is infact now the #1 pentaly taker, but he's not going to say that to the snakey media to undermine Pogba's importance to the team, that would actually be the "weak management". He answered the question perfectly! The amount of trolls on here is ridiculous!

You've clearly never been a manager at any level have you?

Do you really think Klopp / Pochettino / Guardiola would have said anything differently? no chance.

wouldn't be surprise if he's taken Pogba off pens, but kept the discussion behind closed doors

sort of thing Fergie would do, he'd say any old shite in order to not criticise his players in public
