With the signings of Manolas and Lozano I think Napoli's S11 is almost as good as Juventus'

Danilo - De Ligt - Chiellini - Sandro
Ramsey - Pjanic - Rabiot
Bernardeschi - Dybala - Cristiano Ronaldo

vs

Malcuit - Manolas - Koulibaly - Ghoulam
Fabian Ruiz - Allan - Zielinski
Lozano - Milik - Insigne

Hope that they can fight for Scudetto until February, then Juventus should comfortably make the difference thanks to their great depth (Bonucci , Demiral, Emre Can, Bentancur, Matuidi, Douglas Costa, Higuain, Cuadrado)

They signed Di Lorenzo as rightback who should take Malcuit's spot I think. Napoli keeping all their key players was huge, to win the league they'd need Sarri to be a big disappointment at Juve but I think they'll still be comfortably second even with Inter improving.

Napoli added manolas and Lozano, Juve added de light, rabiot and Ramsey. Regarding squad quality, I don't know why people have the impression that the gap shortened. If anything it got bigger imo.

The loss of cancelo is bad, but not enough to think that Napoli got closer, unless sarri flops at juve.

Inter Milan will be a big disappointment I feel
Inter fans expect to have a terrific team and the best trainer in the world, so they can only be disappointed because expectations are too high. A good season will not be enough with such premises.

There are more chances for Inter to win Scudetto than Juventus winning the Champions League this year.

I bet my money on Inter to win the title this year. Conte just knows how to do it although Ancelotti and Sarri have better squads on paper. And I am saying that despite the fact that "my team" in Italy is actually AC Milan..

The problem with Douglas Costa is he'll miss most of the season anyway and never get any sort of consistency. Don't think he should be there after having played 2 or 3 good games for the past year, he's way too injury prone. Bernardeschi will probably start a lot more often and Napoli have better forwards that they can actually rely on.

Bentancur, Bernadesci, Buffon, Can, Danilo, de Ligt, Dybala, Mandžukić, Rabiot.

That might be the strongest bench I've ever seen.

Why are Juve benching a bunch of their best players on the first game?

Dybala, Rabiot, De Ligt...

Matuidi and Khedira starting is very weird

Fitness. Also apparently sarri is a big fan of Khedira and De Ligt doesn't yet give them as much confidence as Bonucci, they need to start with good results

Ffs cristiano's ability to fashion chances for himself in the box is unearthly

James has done more in a couple of games than Martial has shown his entire time here.

Great play and cris fecks up the finish. Still, sarri principles starting to show in the first game, encouraging for them

Even with the same players, this seems like a very different Juventus. A lot more entertaining than last year so far

Ronaldo’s has more chances to score in 30 minutes than in any 3 consecutive games last season

Juve have reverted back to being Allegri’s Juventus in the second half. This is so poor and boring.

Douglas Costa out injured too, what a surprise

0-1 FT

Juve showed glimpses of Sarri's new philosophy in that first half. Second half was awful though, they should always be pushing to get a second goal when holding a 1 goal lead instead of resorting to time wasting and deep defending against teams with a very small percentage of their budget.

This was an exact copy of Atletico's opening game last week. Promising moments of attacking football and good link up play in the first half and then straight back to closing up shop and holding off a 1-0 lead.

United should start trying to shoot at the oppo's arms in their penalty box if that is how the rule is interpreted
