Surprised that he's not being discussed anywhere given his two outings so far. Looks to have proper world class potential. Something of an English Socrates given his excellent one touch and two touch play aided by amazing vision. Can't wait to see how his career goes.

Was thinking about starting a thread on him last weekend. Interesting player. Good on FM as well...for what it's worth.

Norwich is a team I have followed quite alot over the years. Todd Cantwell was arguably very unpopular with Norwich fans when selected last season. He was counted on the most when Buendia was banned and he was so reserved and lacking punch and creativity.

He was a defensive inclusion over the more attacking Onel Hernandez against Liverpool. But his performance and Hernandez' freak injury meant he played against Newcastle.

Fair to say he has been very promising in the last couple of games but I still think he'll do well to keep his place in the Norwich lineup, and he's far from good enough to be a United target.

He's arguably been the best player in both games, not sure how you could say he'd be lucky to keep his place in the team. btw how ls he lacking in creativity?

I'm gonna ask the question since no one else has, do we think he could make the step up?

I just base that off of last season, I saw quite a lot of their games. I just think that he'll do well to stay in the team, this start of the season has been a surprise, seeing as his performances last season were frankly quite underwhelming.
Last season when played as a starter, the creativity in the team took a nosedive. I'm still not convinced he'll keep this up.

Last season could well have been him adjusting to the first team

Perhaps. He’s seen as a promising youngster but I wouldn’t expect to see him regularly start as the season progressed. There’s better players available.

The lads 21 and last season was what his first in competitive first team football? Harsh to speculate (negatively) what his potential is based off of that

You mean we can't call him the English Socrates yet?

Looked a classy player in both Norwich games so far... shocked to hear that he wasn't necessarily a starter last year. Silky on the ball and confident. He was fired into my fantasy football team after Liverpool game and he will be staying there

He looked class against the Scousers and I believe he got 2 assists against Newcastle. Will be interesting to see how he does against Chelsea, but he looks like a great fit for the premier league.

If he carries on like that it won't be long until he's snapped up.

I think so, so could Lewis and Godfrey imo. They are going to surprise alot of people this season. Pity they have Hanley who's clearly not a prem player and he plays in a key position.

Didnt see him last season so i suppose you might have a point. What has suprised me more than anything is that you mention one of his strengths as a weaknesses. As i said, him and Leitner have been nothing short of brilliant so far and they werent regulars last season. Maybe they are just more in tune with football at the highest level.

Looks so calm in possession and unfazed at the highest level. Definitely one to keep an eye on this season

Having a really good game. Scored and just made a great tackle on Azpilicueta. Generally looks very tidy.

Looks a different player this season. Hopefully I am proven wrong about him, and by the looks of it he's well on his way on doing that.

Yo, this kid's a baller eh. Nice hair. Much like Maddison, has more of a Continental style. If someone told me he's Danish or French, I wouldn't have been surprised.Very elegant, reminds me of Laudrup a bit.

Ballooned a good chance for Norwich over early on and then forced a standard save from De Gea in the 2nd half. Outside of that I thought he was average at best in general play and got bossed by McTominay. Was at fault for a goal and also gave away a peno.

Good in tight spaces, but really struggles physically and doesn’t have enough of a passing/shooting technique or pace to really stand out as an attacking player. I think there are better similar players in midtable clubs and Championship.
