Get Mata on. Need someone with a bit of guile. Lingard useless as always. James pretty pointless here too. Cahill should've been sent off mind you!

We are almost set up to counter a team that sit deep. James, Lingard are offering no creativity or movement, constantly receive the ball and recycle it backwards. Their game is breaking lines and hurting teams on turnover / transition.

This is a game for Mata and Pereira. Palace should be pinned back by us onto their own 18 yard line.

Rashford should also never be on free kicks.

Bright start, then Lindelof gets mugged, then we crawl in shame. New blood is required in the second half to replace Lingard and James, who offered little in the first half

Crap to be honest. Controlled most of the half, lots of possession and we have our pockets pinched by a route one move. Lindelof so poor vs Shlupp, nobody in our team worth their salt on the ball and the feeling they have us worried at the back with their pace.

I know space is tight in their half, and will get tighter as they defend their lead in the second half, but why not try to get Martial, James and Rashford in behind? Get some of their shithouses walking if all they can do is take our players out on the turn. We need to start respecting the ball and doing something with it.

You are happy with this hapless, gutless display?
Good grief. No wonder we are in the sh*t.
Ha ha ha.i was just sarcastic. Only sarcasm is helping me to not go in full rant mood which would result badly for me.
Of course that Mourinho is fault here.:wenger:

No shot on target while Palace have had two.

Feels like the end of last season already.

I am relaxed. Ole went to watch youth team on his free day. And smiled. So i have faith in him to fix this. Attack, midfield, general play, selection, creating chances...
Next year we will beat Palace. I am fully confident. He just needs time
And I have faith in you one day becoming a decent match day poster.

Well at least we have two centre backs comfortable in possession. At least now we look semi competent when our CBs just recycle the ball between themselves.

What shocks me is that this is mourinho last season level of crap performance. It’s like nothing’s changed

Its Palace, we have the players here (in some areas) to fecking hurt them - we haven't had a single shot on target. We could still turn this around.

This is like Moyes reign. Started off with a 4-0 then just fell away from there.

Because we let them do that.
Of course teams are going to try harder against the bigger sides. We're Manchester f***ing United, it's expected. It would be an insult if they turned up and didn't try. These players should be expecting this, every single game.

Biggest crime for me is the lack of intensity and real urgency. You wouldn't know that the scoreline was 1-0 to Palace with the way that we're playing. The ball needs to be moved quicker and we need more width. Quick passes with our players making and finding space. We're just not lethal enough.

Those two free kicks that we had sums up our first half. We get the ball into decent positions and then don't work the keeper enough. If you don't hit the target, you don't score. That should absolutely be drilled into these players during training, especially by our manager who was literally named the baby-faced assassin.

I thought we spent all pre season working on fitness and energy levels?

That was the slowest and least energetic half of football you'll ever see from a professional team.

how is magurie supposed to read that lindelof misses the header?
Because that's exactly what a good defender would do read the danger and be in a good position to cover it not lumber about twenty yards away

The team right inspires zero confidence in me that they can turn this around. They've frozen and look horrified out there. They appear beaten already.

    Massive team-talk by Ole now.

Really about time we drop Lingard. It’s like playing with 10 men.
Lots of running with little quality for the second match in a row. There is no cutting edge to oir3 midfield but we have known this and done nothing about it. Zero creativity.

Ole needs to prove his salt here. I'm sorry, Ole - losing at home to Crystal Palace and being outsmarted by Roy Hodgson isn't gonna wash, lad.

He's had his summer. He's had his window. He's talked a good game. Now prove your worth and light a fecking fire under these reprobates for the second half.

Two changes left. Make one within 10mins of the half.
    He needs time.

Hmm, pretty predictable given the eleven we put out. If we put out a front four which is all runners against a team that's obviously going to sit back then we're gambling by placing all the responsibility for creating on Pogba.

I'm baffled that we couldn't find a place for Gomes in the match squad - he could offer something totally different in these situations where we struggle to break sides down.

Loads of the ball but apart from the James chance United haven't looked like scoring. Palace score with their first chance and it was poor defending from United. Need some leadership to turn this around 2nd half and lack of leadership is one of the major issues for United.

Young coming on for the injured Shaw just highlights the lack of depth in this squad.

Why does he do that, when even with Molde he didn’t play that style? I don’t get it, do you really think Ole does that only?!?
No evidence so far to suggest he's got any intention of doing anything else. Not putting Gomes on the bench, playing Lingard despite not providing a goal or an assist since December, playing James from start etc etc points towards the "one playing style for all" approach.

I would've been delighted to see Pogba leave if we could've found a replacement. Closest I've ever been to hating a current player. For all his ability, his attitude is appalling and he can never be relied on.
Seriously? How is he to blame for today? Man marked out the game
