Will Rashford get as much stick as Pogba for his missed penalty?

Some of the racist abuse towards Rashford was from black guys. If you search for it you will see it (unless not already removed). Really think a lot of these are trolls looking to stir the pot, quite a few of the accounts I saw had fewer than 10 tweets and appeared to be brand new.
Noticed with the Rashford one and the when Tammy got it that a few are from Arab accounts too.

So what kind of abuse has Gary given him so far?

Simple solution, destroy social media!

At the very least, like Maguire said, needs to be reset so any user has to register, be over 18, and authorised by National Insurance number or the equivalent of.
The game's global, it'll be difficult for countries to back ID measures so the vile abuse will spread in unidentifiable locations.

Well I have been supporting since 74 and I think Pogba is fantastic. An outstanding midfield player.

There may well be new fans here because of Pogba, but I am sure we picked up many others with Ronaldo, Van Persie, Park, Beckham and even further back the likes of Whiteside & Olsen.
The difference is you'll be here when Pogba is gone (in 12 months).

I agree but my point was about society as whole instead of limiting these issues to football. People are like that everywhere.
It's because everything revolves around radicalisation/extremism these days. You are either in one camp or the other, be it politics, religion, gender, whatever.

Social media amplifies it because nobody likes or retweets boring sound balanced arguments. The more extreme your views, the more people engage in supporting or bashing you (which I guess is more gratifying to one's ego than being ignored/irrelevant).

Not sure when it happened, definitely post Twitter, probably with Messi/Ronaldo, but people don't seem to support football clubs any more. They all get deconstructed into players they love/hate and the only relevance thet have is as a basis for loving/hating other clubs and their fans.

Ask @GNev2.

Neville never criticises English Utd players. He probably thinks Lingard is doing a good job as our no.10.

Sounds like you want abuse to happen, the reason Neville kicked off was because of the stupid debate on the pitch on Monday.

There wasn’t none of that today. Let it go.

Rashford deserved a lot of stick today for way more shite than his penalty. Won’t happen though. English golden boy.
Sounds like you want it to happen, pretty sure racists don’t differentiate between french or English if it comes to colour.

Not Looked at twitter since the match and also thought this thread was more about stick by pundits like Neville (on Pogba)not rascist inbreds on Twitter.

Imagine calling yourself a United fan then starting thread fully intent on persuading others to slate Rashford.

The feck is wrong with you
We have a number of player fans here, player fan first, United fan second. Utter disaster if a thread.

Don’t really get the point of this post, sure all abuse is wrong but this is about racism, an aspect of society that has plagued a particular demographic for an eternity. Racism is a lot more than trolling, it’s a state of mind that aims to oppress a whole demographic, not just a bunch of words used to get under someone’s skin, or trolling as you call it.
I totally agree I'm simply saying that in general people are cnuts, I'm not defending racism at all, hate and peoples need to abuse someone anyone disgusts me, what ever form it takes.

Other than Neville and Souness especially are there any more examples when Pogba was abused by the media?

Stick for his play by pundits, not rascist shite so please don’t insinuate anything about what I want or do not want to happen.

I can't wait until Pogba is gone... It's like Kagawa all over again. We seem to have fans that have little interest in United but are fascinated with the cult of Pogba.

Its like they believe world is against him, he's the Joseph Smith of Redcafe. I see posts crying "racism" when the discussion is regarding two black players. Then it's "scapegoating" despite there being literally no reason why any United fan would "scapegoat" a player.

Its so weird.
Absolutely - glad I’m not on my own which it feels like on here (apparently your racist if you don’t like him)

I think he’s a bad influence as well, Lingard has certainly gone to shit since he started mixing with him.

What are you on about!? Look at the title and OP, like I did before I posted. Stick from the press and pundits is mentioned due to penalty miss not racial abuse he will or should get.
Considering the press are mostly English being as it is the English premier league, he gets less stick and more bias due to him then being English. Thus English golden boy (he’s young) and big hope for the national team.
Mentioning a country or nationality is not rascist, rascism is generally discriminating against a person of different colour/appearance. Neither of which did I mention and considering I am black myself I suggest you wind your neck in and stop insinuating that I want him to receive rascist abuse.

Might just be the English then?

Which I’m not before you rant.

Youre seriously blaming Pogba for Lingards bad form? Are you serious? You dont blame Lingard himself? What evidence do you have that Pogba is a bad influence in the dressing room?

To regain a modicum of sanity

  • Pogba's penalty was a mediocre attempt at this level - too close to the keeper and at an easy height - a regulation save
  • Rashford's penalty completely beat the keeper and rattled the post - it was a few inches from perfect
Such is life, some don't go in - I'd stick with Rashford for pens, but neither he nor Pogba should be getting personal stick - racist comments are totally unacceptable - I wonder how the morons who post those would fare taking a penalty in front of tens of thousands of people, on TV.

I'm not anti Scottish, I just wanted Moyes out.
Plus Pogba looked a lo more devastated and sad after he missed that penalty, when the game ended he looked really upset. Anyway he will be in Madrid next season playing champions league football with world class players, we will be the usual shite I guess. And the media will find someone else to bash.

Yeah you do, unless you believe world class players that are getting paid well dont deserve to get upset about missing a penalty.
You seem to find that hilarious with your smiley dont you.
Your defending a multi millionaire footballer because he looked more devastated and upset than another player. That money whore was probably thinking about his bonuses.

You seem very bitter about the amount the players are paid, but they're fairly standard rates at big clubs. It's possible to be paid well and to care deeply too.

Why can’t we just TRAIN PENALTIES?
Choose one (or two) penalty takers and make them take 100 (or 200) penalties every day, for say three months in a row.

After taking 10,000 penalties in training over three months, a player will be able to finally convert them during games.

Actually, it’s possible to simultaneously choose another player and make him do the same with direct free kicks
