Real still look better than pre season...

Don't think Zidane is the answer though. I thought he wouldn't make Christmas after watching 3 5 2 experiment in pre season. Can't see him being there next year though.

A Mourinho, Allegri or Conte type manager needed to go put a new system in and crack skulls in the dressing room.

Also very good performance by the referee in fractuos game.

Zidane seems a bit lost. He completely discarded Bale (who is playing well) and James, and then they both start in la liga.
If he is looking for a very intense style with fast transitions (or at least that is what was suggested with the signing of Pogba) I do not know if Jamisco is the most appropriate.

Perhaps the board told him to use them to see if someone makes an offer before the market ends.

The fullbacks very bad, both Odriozola last week and Carvajal today, Kroos losing a dumb ball, Vinicius totally lost...

I wonder if we will sign a midfielder and what will finally happen with Neymar.

We desperately need some pace and dynamism in midfield. And goals. We created a few today especially in the first half, but if the plan of attack remains "cross, cross, and cross some more", then we need to play with two actual strikers, or get somebody like Kane or Lewandowski. Benzema scored again today, a great goal, but we can't rely on him pulling a rabbit out of the hat every week

Jovic's first touch was a header off the bar, which in the current situation i choose to take as promising

We'll see what we'll look like once we have Hazard though. He's an attack unto himself when on song

Real Madrid needs to stop panicking whenever they don't win a match. It's Aug ffs. 4 points out of 6.

It's ridiculous for a club of their prestige and history.

We need to stop panicking when we're not winning with an entire half still to play actually

Looking forward to Fekir vs Barca tonight.

Fekir was an absolute beast in his debut match last week. Hopefully injuries don't derail him.

Would've been interested what Barca had done if Messi wasn't fit, play Griezmann upfront and just pack the midfield? Pretty short of attacking options with Dembele and Suarez injured and Coutinho loaned out. Nothing on bench to stretch play rather than putting on more midfielders. That was a big problem in them going out to Liverpool imo. Once their first 11 was nulified there was no game changing option off the bench.

This was Real Madrid's lineup 5 years ago at Anoeta (Real Sociedad stadium)

Yesterday there were eight players from that lineup. And Modric could have been there too!

Atleti can sign whoever they want and they're still going to be crap in attack. The only thing working for them in attack seems to be Trippier to Morata and the latter inevitably messes up.

Atletico will have to improve a lot if they want to challenge for the title.

They might increase their lead as Barcelona's starting eleven looks terrible tonight. Are all of Messi, Dembele and Suarez injured at the same time? And why is Sergi Roberto starting with Rakitic, Vidal and Arthur on the bench??

They're honestly probably even more boring than us. Felix and Saul are the only ones actually worth watching in this team.
They have good players and are a good team. We are just shit.

Messi is still not fit enough, Dembele is out for a month and Suarez got injured in the last match. Griezman, Perez and Rafinha is an awful attack and I fully expect Barca to drop points tonight.
I have a feeling Rakitic isn't starting because he may be involved in talks with PSG. There's just no other reason for him to go from Valverde's favorite to getting dropped 2 games in a row. Roberto being in the MF ahead of both Arthur and Rakitic for any footballing reasons is just baffling.

looks like Rakitic won't be starter for Valverde anymore but Arthur not starting again is a bit surprising. Rafinha is still at club somehow and I've never even heard for Sayol Perez.

so it's Busq, S. Roberto and De Jong in midfield + Griezmann upfront and Rafinha and that Sayol Perez guy somewhere around Griezmann.
