Question for you caftards. Why do the various broadcasters love to give us replays on fouls/tackles and not piece of skills/outrageous controls/etc ?
There's money in controversy.

Winks first pull of a shirt tactical foul of the match rewarded with a yellow. If that was City they could go on to make another 7 or 8 tactical fouls with zero yellows issued

It's crazy how bad some of the midfields are at big clubs. United's is unbalanced and we have a distinctly average player playing every week, Spurs have Winks and Sissoko who are also distinctly average as starters, Arsenal have some incredibly average starters in there as well... Chelsea's is poorly balanced but they at least have good options there. City of course have a quality midfield, while at Liverpool Fabinho is quality with Keita as the potential to be quality, but the rest are all just functional players. Personally think if we signed a top holding midfielder we would see a crazy change.
Spurs also have Ndombele, Lo Celso and Eriksen who aren't playing today.

When Winks and Sissoko are quality cover, I don't feel too stressed about our midfield. The fullbacks though? Yikes.

Spurs are absolutely rubbish in attack without Eriksen.

Some worrying signs from us this season, albeit it's early.

Were shit for most of the game vs Villa, dire vs City and another awful, low tempo, disinterested start against Newcastle.

If we play anything like this vs Arsenal they will win with total ease.

You switched off for the goal but other than that I think you’ve started well.

In the system Spurs play, Lo Celso is a 10 (and bought as Eriksen's replacement clearly), Eriksen is a 10 (and leaving soon), Ndombele is a box to box true and a big upgrade and the only reason I see Spurs as clear 3rd and not with United and Arsenal as simply top 4 challengers. Like you'll never see a midfield 2 of Ndombele and Lo Celso, there will always be a holding player behind them, and that's a position that many big teams are seemingly lacking these days.

Lo Celso should have had a chance here. What harm could it do to give him a go ahead of Lamela?

What game are you watching?

We haven't created even a semblance of a chance. Newcastle have had 2 shots, 2 on target whilst we've failed to even get an attempt away.

Look completely out of ideas. We will probably come back and win but we can't keep starting slow, all 3 games thus far it's been the same thing.

Spurs defence has been trash for 2 seasons now. Just too slow at key positions and Winks has an awful habit of not tracking runners from deep through his zone. I actually think he's quite a useful player, but so many goals we concede come from runners through his defensive zone who he just releases to the center halves unimpeded.
