In a world of my own. People know me here.
The 99 United side won the treble, no city player now would get into it because it didn't need changing.
The fact that the 1999 squad only ever won one CL would suggest there was room for improvement. A lot of United fans feel the side with Rio, Vidic, Ronaldo, Tevez, & Rooney was the best ever. Sometimes it's all about luck & timing. Where the 99 United were only a penalty save away from going out in the FA Cup semi-final, & then Juventus switching off in the CL semi final, plus 2 very late goals in the final. The United side of a decade later were unlucky they came about at the same time Barca's greatest team ever were around. 2 very good Manchester United sides. Difference being is that the cards fell nicely for the 1999 team, whereas Pep's Barca held all the aces up their sleeve 10 years later. So in keeping with the theme of the thread, I believe that if Guardiola sticks around for some time at City & sees off Klopp, then his luck will eventually turn in the CL. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see City become the dominant European force that Liverpool were in the 70's & 80's, & his Barcelona side were not so long ago.

Without a wall of text, which city player gets in the treble team?

If Guardiola wins the CL in next 2 years at City then i think he takes a sabbatical. Don't see him leaving CFG group ultimately come what may as he's earning too much money. He'll likely be used to get the other clubs in the group functioning & raise their profile. They could also use him as an interim manager to steady the City ship if/when his replacements don't work out.

City's would be loathe to lose him to PSG as both sets of owners hate each other. He'll leverage PSG interest against City to gain a pay bump. I can't really see him at Juventus either. He's had the best squad in world football for the last 2 years & failed to make a CL SF. He may not improve his record in his last 2 years at City. Don't see Juventus breaking the bank to sign him if he can't guarantee a CL title. They also wouldn't be able to give him the blank cheque he's had at previous clubs to enable him to build his perfect squad.

Klopp will be desperate to contest the league with Guardiola out of the picture. I think he'll give it another 2 years after Pep leaves. He'd love to win a title at Liverpool. He'd love it even more if he could leave with Liverpool being equal or ahead of us.

There's going to be some serious melt downs & hostility between these 2 for the foreseeable future which should be entertaining. Klopp was gutted to lose the PL last season & has already fired the first barb criticizing City & Guardiola's spending. There's nothing Guardiola hates more than being labelled a cheque book manager. If things get close again expect 1 of them to go postal.

I'd swap Cole/Yorke for Aguero/De Bruyne.
As for the actual question asked, both will honor their contracts, and look for a new challenge afterwards.
