Wishing Lucho and his family all the best, a very very good manager and definitely someone I would like to see at United one day.
This also goes to show that as passionate as one can be about the game, family beats everything.

Hopefully his daughter will do well. Good luck to his family and hope he will be back managing a decent team soon.

meh - didnt stop him playing for them 47 time as well as the U23 and U21 team
A player doesn't have many chances to participate in a WC. A good coach can pick among several countries if he wants to. He has showed desire in the past to coach the Brazil NT, and I'm sure a country like Qatar can give him unlimited money in the latest stages of his coaching career

Puts things into perspective. In life we all dream to move on to bigger and better things. Career, personal development, status, recognition etc. Sometimes you see an old colleague of yours who has made massive step ups in their life, and naturally you think it could have been you if you got that promotion that time. Or see the vast sums of money sports and film stars make, the life they lead and you think how lucky they are.

A few years ago a close relative developed an illness. At that point I would have given all the money I had or done anything if it could help them. Everything else became so insignificant. I realised having health and your family is the most important thing. From that time onward I don't look at people seemingly better placed than me and think oh how great their lives are or how lucky they are. Cause I have no idea what goes on in their private lives. If their health or close family's health is affected or not.

Doesn't mean I don't have ambition I still aim high but now I just consider as a bonus whatever I achieve, not something that is crucial in my wellbeing. We just underestimate how blessed we are unless something happens that takes away something we have taken for granted. Then we realise actually how lucky we have been all our lives.

All the best to Luis Enrique and his family.

Terrible news, can't imagine the pain he and the family are going through. RIP. I really hope he adapts the best way he can as a person from here on.

Devastating. I can't imagine what he feels like right now.

Recently I had to euthanize a 1 day old kitten as it was born with a palatine cleft (basically a hole in its mouth) which made it impossible for it to drink as the milk would just come out of his nose and it would only be a matter of days until it died because of either dehydration or pneumonia.

It's just an animal, it happens with animals and I had no real connection to it as it was only 1 day old but even that brought me to tears and made me think about my reaction if something happened to the people closest to me.

Losing a 9 year old child though? No words ...

:( That's just horrible. Pretty much the worst thing that can happen to a person. Having only one little girl too, I'm pretty sure that would be the end point in life for me.

RIP Xana
