Unlikely. We are watching two mediocre quarterbacks struggle to three and outs. It's hard to understand what the nfl saw in this game.

One of those two is the best Quaterback in history

It's cool to have an actual defense. And Trubisky is at best average.

NFL teams seem to draft QBs on metrics more than what the actually produce in College. I don't watch college football so there may be a reason for that but seems odd to me.

Tannahill, Turbisky, Lynch, Osweiler, Bortles a little bit, all come to mind. Basically because they're big and look good in the uniform.

I think drafting a QB is tough. What I think people overlook is what makes a QB good isn’t the physical attributes - any of the guys being drafted are capable passers of the football - but the mental attributes.

How do they cope with adversity?
Can they handle pressure?
Can they maintain their performance when it matters most?
Do they understand the game to be able to know where to look and where the space will be open?
Do they inspire their team?

More so than any other position. And predicting these things is much much harder.

More details on the Antonio Brown fallout with the Oakland Raiders. According to a report from Josina Anderson, Brown proceeded to call general manager Mike Mayock a "cracker" while continuously barraging him with "cuss words" during the altercation at the training facilities:

Agree with all that but are some of these guys really capable passers at Nfl level? I don't think so. Their passing stats are average at college level so can they really expect that much of an improvement.

Maybe I'm expecting too much and that's about level bar some top top talents.

I’m sure there are some who aren’t but if I look at the QBs in the NFL now, there really aren’t many who aren’t capable passers. It’s their decision making and other factors which let them down most.

The Bears have problems if they built this team with Trubisky's rookie contract in mind. Their ceiling has a hard cap on it.

I love QB discussions from college to NFL because I was in a college football program and talk to a well-known NFL QB trainer on a regular basis.

It's very difficult to project how a college QB will improve in the NFL (in general), how they can improve within a team's system and if they can learn and improve in another system. In addition, you have to project and understand their mental capacity, how pressure gets to them and how they handle being THE guy. Physically, it's all down to the GM and coaches who are installing their system. If the team thinks the players has the tool set and the player can be shaped in an effective way to run the offense, they will work with them.

College stats aren't everything obviously, but the film never lies when trying to know if a QB can make the right reads, manipulate the safeties/field, how they handle pressure from different angles, pre and post-snap reads and if they can handle audibles (correctly) at the line of scrimmage.

Is this the last year we see Brady, Brees, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Rodgers and Manning all playing? Have a feeling this season might be the last for more than one of them. All are virtual locks for the Hall of Fame.

He posted this after the supposed apology he gave in front of the team?? Dude is self-destructing right before our very eyes. Don't see how the Raiders can let this go unpunished.
There’s a little voice in my head that’s saying this could all be a big marketing ploy and that all these antics are scripted like WWE.

Possibly. Definitely smacks of self-promotion. Is he trying to get a reality tv show or something? But it's just turning into a big headache now. Not sure how many teams would be willing to deal with it, even for an elite talent like AB.

I mean, those saying if the Raiders drop him that the Patriots will pick him up and he'd step into line. Personally think Belichick would stay as far away from AB as possible.

Honestly at this point, with the stuff he’s doing, I am starting to think there’s more to him than being a cognisant egotistical asshole.

I think there’s genuinely something wrong with him mentally, whether that’s CTE or something else.

From ESPN:
A Raiders source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Gruden was truly amused by the video and even thought it was "awesome."
Even if this goes unpunished, you can bet this won't be the last we hear from AB this season.

Guys like Moss and Gordon aren't really thought of as bad apples or shitty teammates though. Then again, they did have an actual murderer on their team with Aaron Hernandez. So there's that.
Moss had his fair share of diva moments. I remember when he walked into the locker room before one of the games ended and that caused some tension with him and the team leaders.

On a side note, Tony Joiner, a former safety from UF who played with Hernandez in 2007. Tony Joiner is facing charges for homicide of his ex gf. Crazy how two would-be murderers played together on the same college team.

The whole AB saga is genuinely embarrassing. He now wants to be released and Raiders believe that if they release him they are not liable to pay any guaranteed money

AB is basically playing on the fact that players have all the power and someone will definitely pay him
