I was proper pissed about losing Ander.
I think everyone should've been, honestly.

After all, he was far and away our 2nd best midfielder, and our midfield was already lacking as it was! Ideally we needed to keep him and bring in another one (ideally two) but did neither.

I've just seen that AWB, Pogba and Martial are all out for this.... I was admittedly confident prior, but now? It's safe to say that confidence is gone.

I’ll go for this. Without Pogba we need more creative midfielder to replace him & I’ll go with Gomes in XI.

Not too bad. Still not sure I would make us favourites with that team though, even at home.

Here's hoping that one of Gomes or Greenwood start in the front 4 and it's not Pereira. Also hopefully Fred next to McTominay and not Matic and McTominay.

Judging from his turnouts for England U21s and his limited time on the pitch for us so far, I am not sure Greenwood is ready yet. Gomes or Chong would actually be more likely to have an impact I think.

Quite like the idea of Chong running at their defence actually, especially with Martial out.

So the consequences of how we have left the squad are biting early, was only a matter of time, but still it's unlucky for Ole at this stage of the season.

Christ, what a lineup. Tielemens and Maddison will make absolute mincemeat of that midfield. Have a feeling that Vardy is going to run riot, too. Could be a long day.

Seems like all of Gomes, Chong and Greenwood will be in the squad tomorrow. Can see Greenwood starting.

This might honestly be the worst premier league squad we've ever put out

    Holy shit

What's tragic is that we might even see Rojo or Tuanzebe rather than AWB if he isn't fully fit

    Leicesters' game to lose this.

Ole has to take quite a bit of the blame for our current squad, it was made known that the club didnt have to sell lukaku just like they made it known they didnt have to sell pogba, hence why we were able to hold out but if anything lukaku made him leaving the club inevitable by going AWOL but even then he said he would have stayed had he been told he was still wanted at the club which Solskjear obviously didnt and wanted him sold as he didn't fit his he wanted to play and remember we were also willing to buy Longstaff for around 20-25 million but got mugged off with his valuation, plus we were close to swapping lukaku for dybala, so we had more money to spend than we ended up doing so in the end.

There were players available for free and on loan to help the depth of our team but obviously Solskjear snubbed such ideas or spend the money wiser as Maguire is not worth 80 million and could have got a credible right back for half of the money spent on Bissaka who wasnt going anywhere as not many team with money would spend 40 million on a fullback unless they offer a lot going forward.

You're right that probably is slightly weaker

But we had a real leader in Carrick and Rashford played like Ronaldo

Defend deep and hit them on counter especially their full backs play so high and there will be lot of space to run into. Don't try to control the game

That line up gives me the horn. But not the good kind of horn like what I feel when Susanna Reid is on the telly and she says the word "moist" but more like a horn stabbed through my neck as I bleed out on the cold concrete slabs.

Looking forward to this game. 2 weeks without football is suddenly a long time.

Performances have been decent so far, but time to get some points on the board. Tough game to try and do that

Pogba, Martial and AWB out. We'll get to see it Fred and Gomes/Greenwood come in to the starting XI. Hoping Ole goes with:

    DDG
    Axel. Lindelof, Maguire, Young
    Mctominnay Fred
    Greenwood Gomes James
    Rashford

    Expecting to see:
    DDG
    Young Lindelof Maguire Rojo
    Matic Mctominnay
    Mata Lingard James
    Rashford

we are such a confidence side.....

if we get a goal and our tails are up we could make it comfortable for ourselves

we haven't been playing that badly and it's been individual mistakes that have cost us

a one goal lead is very dangerous given how fragile we look and Leicester could pick us off

    hard to predict this one
