Ballchasers. People that hit it for the sake of hitting it with no regard to teammate positioning or the consequences of their actions.
You’ll find this a lot, it gets better as you get higher in the ranks but it by no means disappears.
Super annoying. Specially if they barge you out the way while on the wing.
Played a good few games tonight and had terrible teammates every time. One where both stayed back on the line and never left it despite me charging the ball up the field.
Noticed there was a menu option to watch esports of it live so thought I'd have a look and see how much better they are. Obviously I'm sure they'd be immense to play against, and they're in way more control in the air than I'll ever be, but they're still boosting past the ball and missing it like I do sometimes and conceding from kick off etc.
Thought they'd be better to be honest. Main difference seems to be how much power they're getting on the ball.

Me and my mate started playing this game for the first time last week. What an awesome game. I realise that i'm extremely late to the party here, but it's so much fun. I was never really interested in playing it, but I've had it for ages due to getting it free with PS Plus so i gave it a go. So glad i did.
Depends what level of competition you’re watching. Quite often they have ‘collegiate’ level of play as opposed to the World Championship level pro’s.
A lot of the play you see on stream is very high level though. It may look as though they’re missing the ball mid aerial but a lot of the aim is just ‘to be there’ in order to try and put the opponent off if they know they won’t get a hit on the ball.
I’d recommend watching some pro 1v1’s on Johnny_Boi’s YouTube channel. The 1v1 scene is a lot less aerial based but you can see some high level shots, flicks and mind games.
Watch Comm play on Johnny’s channel, he pulls off insane shots very regularly and it’s actually funny to watch how good he is mechanically.

Voting to forfeit after going 2-1 down with time left. Or leaving because you're 3-1 down. Managed to pull it back to 3-3 with just two of us in that one. Might've won in overtime if the gimp didn't leave. Sent him a message saying as such like a 12 year old.
These lot miss out on the best games being such fannys.

Just played a game with two idiots that wanted to play keeper. I'm launching balls in to the centre and there's no one around. They're both just sat in our net.

Had a game yesterday with 5 goals in one minute.
If anyone wants to play with a relative newbie (gold 1-3) that would be cool. Could use discord.

I may get a bit mad at people who miss the kickoff because they need to type "trade". Only beaten by those yelling "i got it" and then taking a left turn to the boost pad. OMG i love this game
What about when you have a decent hit lined up on goal and one of your team mates comes flying in at some mad angle and either boots it to nowhere or sometimes even backwards, just because they feel like they have to touch the ball? Or when they just have to drive near it and you end up hitting them instead of the ball.
Even worse are those I see start moving towards it, so you don't, then they just stop, waiting for something to happen.

I forgive it a tad when its the middle of the park because its easy to lose track of teammates due to awkward camera angles, but the one that gets on my tits is when your boosting up the wall to hit the ball for a cross but your teammate also decides to boost with you to attempt the same pass and your other teammate is sitting waiting for it. The pass inevitably goes to the opposition who score from the clearance.
