Or you are the next Bebe
Bebe scored a grand total of 4 goals in the Portuguese second league, before moving to United. His best ever season in terms of goals was at Pacos de Ferreira where he scored 12. Erling is on his way to outscore Bebe's career tally in about two seasons.

If you score an average of 1.9 goal pr game in Austria so far this season, 3 goals on your C.L-debut, 9 goals in a U20 World-cup match - you are not a superstar - but you are certainly well placed to be one.
Be prepared for a Caf barrage of 'fraud' and 'flat-track bully' when Liverpool proves to be too strong for Salzburg.

If you at 19 score an average of 2 goals in the austrian League - you are a lot better than Bebe ever was. So I agree - there is no guarantee that he will be a superstar, but at 19 he is already scoring goals for fun in a decent League so he will be a very good striker.

People will probably slate me but feck it.

Really reminds me of Lukaku at Everton. Absolute unit for his age which makes him look ridiculous and he works well in a pacy counter attacking trio (where Lukaku excelled with Deleufeu and Mirallas). His finishing looks the exact same too, sweeping shots into the bottom corner of the net and always being in the right place to poach tap-ins.

Best advice would be to stick on that track and don’t try and bulk up.

Haaland in a system with James and Martial/Rashford would be frightening.

Sancho/Haaland/James would be unfair.

Side note: please don’t reply to my post slating Lukaku or where he’s at from United onwards. At Everton this is the type of player he was which is why he caught the eye of everyone/why he works well for Belgium with people like Hazard and Mertens alongside him.
only if teams dont park the bus against us every minute of every game

which they will

I almost hope he has an off-day. Wouldn't be good if he does well against Liverpool to get them even more interested :)

@lsd has some wacky takes. Level or not you can’t ignore what this lad is doing. I’m sure he’ll be near the top of every major clubs players to watch list.

Yes off course mega star anyone who scores 9 goals against Honduras under 20s has to be worth at least 200 million

'next Bebe'

The stupidity on this forum knows no bounds.

People saying we should bid 30 million on the basis of playing in Austria and scoring against Honduras under 20s and FC Genk

Stupidity on this forum knows no bounds :lol::lol:

30m is actually a more than reasonable price in today's market for an up and coming talent like him. His value is only going to increase over the coming year.

I’d snap call on £30m right now. That Honduras u20s side are underrated.

Some players dominate at a lower level, but struggle at the top, and some players go unnoticed at a lower level, but shine when they play with better players. I believe this is why clubs spend big amounts on scouts, analysts etc.

If United think Haaland can replicate his scoring form in the PL, we should try to get him in. If other top clubs also believe this, then his price will be very high. Think it's pointless to discuss what he's worth, as that will be decided after he has played for his new club for a while.

If we buy him, and he ends up scoring 300 goals for us, then £150 million would be good value. If we buy him for £20 million, and he scores 3 goals over two seasons and gets sold to Turkey, it's not good value.

To all you who writes his name Håland (oh, look at me, I got the letter å on my keyboard), he’s actually changed his name to Haaland.
Yup, but he should just drop the name entirely - and Erling too. Braut is such a good name for him, both descriptive of his style and a tribute to Jæren's great son.

I hope you aren't excited about Greenwood, his only professional goal was scored against some farmers from Khazakstan. Must be a nothing talent so don't get your hopes up.

Never ceases to amaze me how the caf overhype the most average player and convince themselves its only a matter of time till they sign for United and become a superstar
So judging him is premature, and also he is average?

Wanna take another stab at being coherent?

You are right Greenwood has no experience at all of being at a premiership club coming through the ranks playing in the premiership and looking the part .

You may as well compare Haaland to Messi while you are at it

I can't read Cyrillic, yet ;)
Nije ti potrebno = није ти потребно = It's not necessary for you

All countries that use Cyrillic (that I know of) are just as proficient in the Latin alphabet, here in Serbia both are used equally.

Other than impressing some hot Slavic boy/girl, you won't have much use for it :)

I think you where extremly lucky with your nick! If anything about you is spot on, that one is.. Im sure it was pure coincidence that scouts from 50 clubs watched that game. What I can say about Haaland is that he is very dedicated on his development. Just like Odegaard he know how to work on development and carrying a long term plan. What he has done so far is pretty impressive, and so does the 50 scouts think to. I can only imagine you don’t find his work rate, movement and goal scoring record all that impressive. Which is pretty impressive in it self..

I don't because the last thing we need is yet another player who may be good enough to make a difference in a few years time .

We are struggling to score goals now so we need someone that can solve that now . Someone proven in the premiership who isn't comng just for the money

We need a Vardy not a kid from a crappy league

It's the Austrian league . If Utd were playing a team from that league we would expect to win at ease .

Not that we would but we would expect it

The league has nothing to do with the level of talent of the player. Especially at his age

Would have been really stupid to buy Mane in 2014.

I'm not saying Haaland will definitely succeed - it's a reasonable concern to question the level of competition he plays against - but immediately dismissing someone because of the league is a mistake.
Competent scouting helps to find the gems.

This "kid" as some of you say is special.

Sure you can say the league he is playing in is not good and so on but if you compare him with Dabbur (previous striker at Salzburg) who also was prolific and was scoring goals for fun but there is just a difference you would know if you watched the league over a few seasons and not just Highlights.

Is that the Vardy who was playing for Fleetwood at 26 and non league football at 24?

He has proved nothing at this level and his one goal is against rubbish opposition. I never said anything about Haland being the next GOAT player just pointing out how flawed your logic is. The fact that Haland is currently in the Austrian league is not a stick to beat him with.

Not sure how Bebe's doing in Portugal 2nd division previously (or something), but he definitely never score a hat trick in CL nor 9 goals in a U20 WC match.

I’m not sure what you’re even trying to say here. Greenwood has had one start for United in the premier league. It’s not like his cv stands out in comparisons to Haaland’s. They’re both young exciting talents.

As for your last sentence, again I’m trying to work out what you mean. Someone compares Haaland to Greenwood, and you say ‘you may as well compare him to Messi while you’re at it’. Are you saying that it’s such a leap to compare the two players, it’s akin to comparing Haaland to arguably the best footballer ever?
