No chance he ever gets dropped. This is why the signing of Griezmann didn't excite me. Should have saved themselves that 100m and thrown at Neymar instead if you anyway won't ever drop Suarez.
Yup. Another luxury player bought for a lot of money, they do love to burn money in that club

I thought the football we played was atrocious, but seeing Barcelona makes me appreciate OGS. Long may Valverde continue.

I think the Pep era Barca has distorted things for many people. They can't fall behind or have a competitve game in the league without people saying its a massive crisis and that world class players are suddenly crap. I for one am enjoying watching them in competitve games most weeks instead of the endless 5-0 processions of years gone by.

The diving in this game is atrocious.

I'm not one of those overtly critical of Valverde but I think he's living on borrowed time now. His decision making, subs, tactics and lineups are really just off way too often. His love for Sergi Roberto makes absolutely no sense and at a time when Arthur is playing great, to drop him in a tough away game and to bring in Roberto in MF makes no sense. The refusal to drop Suarez, irrespective of how badly he plays is another shocker.
Suarez is a liability that can only be tolerated in home games but in away game and when Messi isn't present, his presence is toxic. The man can't control a ball, can't shoot, can't pass and doesn't have Messi giving him 3-4 one on ones and a tap in or two a match to paper over the cracks.
Griezmann is being criminally wasted thanks to Suarez.

Barca home and away are just two very different teams. Even over the last two years, when they've won the league, they've not been good away from home but atleast they've had Messi to bail them out time and again. Without him, they're massively exposed.

tumescent start to the weekend for La Liga. Three 0-0s out of five matches so far. A 2-0. And this shite show from Barca. Still, a Granada win would be ace.

Welcome to modern era of football.

Many millenials/gen-z/young people have a scrwed perception of football due to Messi and CR7/ especially on Social Media.

They expect big teams to not lose a single game playing away, they expect great players not to have a bad match never, etc

Crisis is what we have at United right now, we can't even qualify to CL group stage, what Barcelona is getting is not a crisis by any means.

Barca have played 4 away games so far.
Their results are:
1-0 loss to Bilbao
2-2 draw to Osasuna
0-0 draw at Dortmund
1-0 loss (currently) to Granada

For a team that's supposed to be winning the league, their away performances are a crisis.

Barca have spent hundreds of millions yet seem to get worse every year. It has nothing to do with being a millennial.

And they might still win the league...so?

Valverde is so reluctant to take Suarez off that he puts both of them on and gets Messi and Fati both on instead of taking off Suarez

Agree with this. A crisis was Barca selling Figo to Madrid and needing a last day hat trick, including a scarcely believable last minute bicycle kick, from Rivaldo against Valencia to finish top four.

Barca didn’t even win a European cup until 1992. And in 2005 were still stuck on one. Since then start of the Ronaldinho/Messi era, they’ve won it four more times in just 13 years. After once in the previous hundred.

Barca used to lose their best players to bigger teams. Figo and Ronaldo just two players that come to mind.

Any Barca fans under the age of 25-30, don’t know the meaning of the word “crisis”.

Vidal comes on and gives away a penalty with his first touch. Barça's defense is absolutely hilariously bad.
2-0

People cry about VAR then they come up with great decisions like this.
England needs its refs to review they're own decisions

Griezmann now having to play off the right wing because, well, a certain striker can't be dropped or subbed. It's a criminal waste of his talents.

You wouldn't even know that Griezmann's playing.

Messi and the young kid Fati are the only ones trying anything.

They can see the crisis coming though. They haven't had a proper league challenger in years so have focused on CL as a Messi thank you that could send them into financial ruin with the work that's still needed.
Thats without seeing the Messi era nearing its end and yet still have a total reliance on Lionel. This will be Ronaldo / Madrid x 10 imo, no wonder their nerves have kicked in.
They could go the way of Sir Alex leaving us disaster, their board really are that clueless.

Really isn't his fault he's being played on both wings just to accommodate Suarez.
Messi has been really good since coming on.

Said it before but Arthur plays it too safe.

The one thing he has is his incredible ability to resist pressing opposition, but now that they have de Jong who's not only as good as him at resisting the press, but better in every other department, too, I'm not surprised he's finding game time hard. Then you have Busquets who's Busquets. (Yeah, I know he's not playing)

I hope it continues, he gets restless, and we pounce  (As if, though! :()

It's not just about results, I went through the desert of this team in the post-figo, Gaspart era, there were no titles, but watching them wasn't actually dreadful like it's been for the past two/three years.

And everyone seems to forget, Messi can leave this summer if he wants to. It's a really long shot, but I won't be at ease until I see him in the preseason.

What's with La Liga this season?? Griezmann should have stayed at Atletico.
