At what point will Old Trafford actually start becoming aggressive to this feckwit?
Probably never. Last season we had to watch City win the domestic treble and Liverpool win the CL while both fought out the best PL title race ever. This year again we will have to watch City and Liverpool fight it out for the PL and the CL, while we're in tier 2 of Europe. Nothing happens at OT.

We have made a lot of mistakes in the transfer market in since Fergie left.

Most expensive signings since 2013:
2013 - Mata and Fellaini for 77 million pounds. Neither signing will have a big place in United history.
2014 - Di Maria, Shaw, Herrera,Rojo,Blind,Falcao for around 190 million pounds plus Falcao loan fee. Hardly a success story there either.
2015 - Martial,Schneiderlin,Depay,Darmian,Schweinsteiger,Romero for around 160 million pounds. Martial has a lot of talent and hopefully will show that this season but others were a flop except Romero.
2016 - Mkhitaryan,Pogba,Bailly,Ibrahimovic for around 190 million pounds. Ibra a hit for his limited time and Pogba has all the talent in the world but has far more to offer I feel.
2017 - Lukaku,Matic,Lindelof,Sanchez for around 200 million pounds. A lot of flops there an no bigger in United history than Sanchez. Lindelof is ok but also needs to improve.
2018 - Fred and Dalot for around 80 million pounds. Neither worth the money in my estimate.

So that is close to 900 million pounds made available to managers to sign players for 6 seasons. Do you guys think there is another top club in Europe that has made as many errors in the transfer market as us during that period? I would go as far to claim that Van Persie is the last signing we made that can be described as a huge hit. Then if I´m not mistaken those players were signed to the request of every United manager at the time. Woodward does not tell Van Gaal or Mourinho I´m going to sign this player and you will play him. That´s not how things work at United.

Over the last seasons the following clubs have made these signings that can be defined as succesful signings in my estimate:

Liverpool: Alisson,Van Dijk,Salah,Robertson,Mane,Wijnaldum,Firmino
Man City: Mahrez,Laporte,Walker,B.Silva,Stones,Sane,Jesus,De Bruyne,Sterling,Fernandinho
Spurs:Moura,Son,Alderweireld,Davies,Alli,Dier,Eriksen
Chelsea:Rudiger,Kante,Willian
Arsenal: Leno,Aubameyang,Lacazette,
B.Dortmund: Witsel,Hakimi,Diallo,Delaney,Sancho,Dembele,Weigl,Aubameyang
Bayern: Goretzka,Coman,Sule,Gnabry,Hummels,Vidal,Kimmich,Alonso,Lewandowski,Thiago
Juventus: Ronaldo,Bonucci,Matuidi,Bentancur,Pjanic,Dybala,Sandro,Mandzukic

Imagine if we had signed Van Dijk,Sane,Son,Aubameyang and Kante out of that group rather than the dross we signed? But that´s in the past and now we must look forward. Woodward must carry his part of the blame for this transfer fiasco and to me it seems OGS and Woodward are cleaning house and I can see a clear pattern of how Ole wants us to play. Maguire,Bissaka and James are good signings in my estimate even though it´s still early day´s good signings and now we must bring Gomes,Garner,Greenwood and co into the fold. On top of that we need a DOF in order for us to develop and I think we are heading for that.

So for Manchester United you go back till 2013, but the rest you look at the last 2/3 seasons?

Where is Mikhi in the Arsenal signings?

Also please look at pre Klopp signings, they were all doss as well.
It is all well and good highlighting the ones that have succeeded. They signed a CB called Grugic, so why have you left him out?

Look at Barcelona, Boateng, Vidal, Coutinho etc.

It is a poor comparison IMO.

Although, I agree the signings have been ordinary, not many fans complained at the signing of Pogba, Zlatan, Lindelof.

A story running in the media that deals requested both in and out by Ole were overruled by the board, really underlines the difficulty in managing Man Utd with the current structure of non football people behind decisions. Neither Woodward or Judge have a sports background coupled with the manner in which the Glazers make decisions for their sports franchises in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Man Utd just bring no comfort or confidence to the world wide fans.

What seems inevitable is that until Woodward in the first instance and then the Glazers are moved on, nothing Will really change. There are still posters that defend the pariahs that run the club , actually they appear to be stooges of Ed. However looking at the team and line ups, if they manage to finish in the top 6 it will have over achieved in today's EPL.

Such a dramatic fall that it's almost unbelievable in the speed it has happened, but thats what poor structure and inexperienced footy heads in charge can do.

Funny when people do not read things before criticising them. I clearly say: Over the last seasons the following clubs have made these signings that can be defined as succesful signings in my estimate and then some of those players I mentioned were signed in 2013 like Eriksen,Fernandinho,Aubameyang(to Dortmund). So I did pick out those I think have been a success over that time period and would have been good signings for United in the timeframe from 2013 but not list all the signings these clubs made. They have made mistakes also but nothing compaired to us in the transfer market up until this summer I feel.

Mikhi has not turned out to be a great signing for Arsenal in my estimate.

Agree with you that the Liverpool signings were much better after Klopp took over and the approach of their new owners. Leaving out Grugic was simple because I was looking at their signings I think have been good ones.
If you think Barcelona have done badly in the transfer market since 2013 I would ask: Alba,Neymar,Suarez,Rakitic,Ter Stegen,Umtiti,Semedo,A.Vidal,Arthur. I bet we could have used 1 or 2 of those players.

So you think the comparison is poor but I guess I will disagree with you because there you see the root cause of the position we are in today. Like I also said you could say out of all these signings we have made that Ibra was a hit for his limited time here, Pogba has all the talent in the world but has far more to offer and Lindelof is ok but also needs to improve.

But anyone not seeing that we have spent close to 900 million on substandard players in most cases compaired to some of the great signings our rivals have made is just astonishing.

Fair enough, that was my mistake for misreading.

The bit about us spending alot of money on sub standard players is not something I disagree with you, having a scattergun transfer approach is just poor.

This season, we have seen a change which I am happy with. I know alot of fans are up in arms about not signing more midfielders or a striker, but the thing is if we signed someone, it would have been a panic buy. There isn't much out there. 2 Years ago, we would have got Dybala cause we would have offered him crazy money.

What do you think about the summer signings and Ole getting rid of Smalling,Sanchez,Fellaini,Lukaku,Herrera,Valencia? I think Ole has shown he´s ruthless and perhaps we will see in the next windows that he´s laying the groundwork for bringing in better players for United. Some say it´s a gamble but for me there is no other way and I applaud his bravery and hopefully Tuanzebe,Garner,Gomes,Greenwood and co will prove their worth in the coming months. I would then like to see us make fewer but better signings than we have been doing for the lasts 6 years. Sancho,Kane(I know some will shake their head but how long will he last at Spurs without winning?),Longstaff,Haverts,Maddison...

Brilliant, exactly what we needed. It sends signal to the current players and incoming players that name and reputation doesn't matter.

I know alot of fans are moaning about not replacing players? but why would you want to replace deadwood? Oh we sold one striker so lets buy another? It doesnt work like that. Ole wants to play a certain way and if he wants to use Rashford and Martial up top we need to buy a forward not a striker.

We have tried these players and finished nowhere, so why not give the youngsters a go this season, some of them may cut it some of them won't but it will give Ole and idea of what he needs next summer rather than just buying for sake of it.

The names mentioned are ones I think we will target.

I am satisfied with what we are trying to do.

I don't believe Ole has made these decisions. Why would he ask to only spend £75m and not replace strikers and midfielders?

It stinks of Woodward and the Glazers stoking up their dividend payments.
This kind of approach could be explicable with their intention to sell the club

1. Before season even started he threw away the season with his mismanagement with rookie manager and lack of signings.

2. In Aug, we are already out of title race. Even TOP 4 looks unlikely.

3. Only in 4 games we are already 7 points away from the top.

4. The squad is left with many glaring area that screaming for better quality players.

5. No leader in the team. No style of play. No team spirit.

6. No structure in the club

Why can't this fecker just appoint someone who know how to run a fecking football club. Get the feck out of this club!

Ed and Glazers are in it just for money. They do not give a flying feck about winning trophies if it requires extra investment. They are happy to win feck all as long as the money keeps coming in. Hope the lot of them feck off as soon as possible, as these leeches are living off the legacy built by the one and only SAF. And what the feck happened to our ability to do things in transfer market that other clubs can only dream of? And how on Earth is it possible to have continuous sustainable commercial growth regardless of results on a football pitch? The latter literally means "we will continue to milk the club dry as the reputation built by Ferguson and the naivety of fans will continue to carry us on, even if Manchester United win nothing big for years". Un fecking believable what this great club has turned into.

We’ve become the total embarrassment of world football and it’s going to get worse before it gets better. There is absolutely no quick fix here, until these parasites do one we’re going nowhere. Rotten to the core this club is, toxic beyond belief.

I've defended him in the past, but he gave the ball away carelessly more times than anybody else on Saturday, apart from Paul Pogba. Not good enough.

Time for a spell in the stiffs methinks. Both of 'em.
Yep. No idea what Ole is thinking starting Woodward every week.

August and we are completely out the title race.

We are almost out the top 4 race...*sighs*

How depressing a month in and I am looking to the end of season already, written this season off.

2 seasons in a row where our biggest rivals are ahead of us. What's worse this season, do we want City to win 3 in a row or Liverpool to win their maiden Prem title?

I was thinking the same. I have so many mates who are Liverpool fans, and to even think they are going to win the title is frustrating. Then tuning into the United match on a weekly basis knowing it will be 1-0, 1-1, or 1-2 is so boring.

Anyone who expected different after this window wasn´t really paying attention.
Ole will need more players and we need to be patient with him, Ed on the other hand should be targeted.
We will be in the battle for the 4th place.

One of my best mates is a Liverpool fan, his girl as well. We're going to Greece each summer and I would absolutely hate my life to hear him gloat about them winning it for 2 weeks straight while wanting to enjoy a bit of sun.

I respect LFC as a club, as our rival, but I'd respect them even more if they don't win shit year after year.

What Supporting United has come to.. Hoping a rival doesn't win the league.

I cannot see things changing until Pep and Klopp leave either.

Almost out of the top four race in the first week of September, 3 points behind Crystal Palace in 4th and 4 points off Leicester in 3rd.

Arsenal 2 ahead of us and Tottenham and Chelsea on the same points.

Almost out of this race.

Hence the use of Almost. Arsenal and Spurs have had difficult starts.

Except Chelsea, we have had probably the easiest start, even easier than City and Pool, we can manage 1 goal a game and 0 clean sheets.

Give is till end of October we will be 10 points off top 4.

Throwing United's legend to the wolves... think this time it will not fly with majority of support base and Ed pretty much fecked himself on that truly.

If many think that he can get us Jadon Sancho. then you may be in for unpleasant surprise, because right now the club is not the perfect place to be.

Brass neck of this cretin. Its all on him.
That was the bit that threw me during the game, it’s like he is surprised that we could possibly lose away to West Ham with a striker who apparently wasn’t 100% before the game with no alternatives on the bench.

If he was a man of honour he would be announcing his departure tonight.
