It is sickening, but there's no way round it. As if you ban agent's fee, the "player" fee just goes up.

Futile.

I'm guessing to circumvent 'tapping up' regulations. Also the agents not really there for the clubs benefit. He's there to help secure his client (the player) the best move and as much money as possible.

Anyways, agent fees should be paid directly by the players. They're enjoying the benefit of having an agent, so that fee should be deducted from their own signing on bonus. You'll find a lot of players, start to squirm and reject agents once the cash starts leaving their own pockets.

A good idea in theory... there to protect the players. Ultimately it is the clubs at fault for paying these astronomical fees... collectively they have created a monster.
