We probably won't have a manager after this game
I think that Ole will be under bigger pressure after a heavy defeat at home against Liverpool after the next international break

3 games before the break (Arse, Aalkmar and Newcastle away, where I only see us drawing against Alkmar and Necastle)

Most likely a loss, the only aspect of a win is Arsenal not being compact at the back. Emery is simply just a better manager so expecting Ole to fire up a blank as per usual.
Got to disagree, he seems totally clueless, has no control over his squad and can't get his team to play any defence other than bad defence. I expected us to nick this game 1-0 when the fixtures were originally announced but since they bought Luiz I fancy 3-0.

This type of game suits us better. Hopefully Martial is back and maybe even Shaw. Greenwood to start maybe? Possibly Fred as well? I reckon we'll beat them well enough.

Matic would be such a liability in this game. I'd much rather we play Fred and mctominay with pogba just ahead of them. If nothing, at least Fred has some energy and the occasional good pass on him, which is much more than what could be said of matic.

When is the last time Arsenal beat us at home?
06-07 in the premier league (14/15 in the FA cup) That's a pretty dire record considering our form over the past 6 years and its part of the reason i think we'll win. They just don't like coming to Old Trafford :D

Here's to hoping that we don't feck that streak up.

Arsenal will be fancying themselves coming into this, we are under immense pressure and the side is lacking confidence, hopefully it will see some players step up to the plate. Personally I'd start Axel and I think all the LB options are much of a muchness. Hopefully Martial is fit and we can field the below team.

This is where I am, so... Good lineup! :D

Plenty of streaks have tumbled at OT in recent years - including one already this season; Palace won at Old Trafford after 30 years.

Do the business against Arsenal, boys.

My pick, give Greenwood 60 mins than sub for Martial. Sub Pereira for the forever youthful Lingard (got to give youth a chance) and Pogba for Mata late in the game. No Rashford jis form is terrible and give him a rest after coming off against Astana. No point risking him. We really are lacking decent quality depth.

Cant see anything other than a loss. Probably 1-2.

My doubts in Ole and coaching staff will increase significantly if United do not have 3 center midfielders in this match. Whether it's McTominay and Matic or McTominay and Fred, Pogba needs to be up the pitch and be the focal point of the counter and of the attacking play. Arsenal's midfield has been all over the place and not having someone who can cause havoc nearer towards goal is a sin.

James, Martial (if fit), Greenwood and even Lingard have the pace, directness and tricky to cause Arsenal's back line problems. Need that attitude to come through on Monday.

It's genuinely embarrassing that Manchester United, arguably the biggest club in the WORLD, can put out a first XI this shockingly bad.

Legitimately not even a top 8 line up that.

Have to pack out that midfield with a diamond as I remember last season arsenal done us last season with basically the same thing and we need to start trying to control games in that area, choose lingard in the team because he seems to always score against arsenal.

Sky advert just on promoting the game in a weird accent “it used to decide titles”

I reckon we’ll play on the counter with a low defensive block.
Can’t play a high block with Maguire and Lindelof against Auba, he would absolutely tear them apart.
This is the game that having Smalling in the team would’ve been beneficial.

Use Lingard/Fred to press -- you know how bad the Gooner back four are under pressure. Save Greenwood as sub to bring on after they are all knackered.

Ambivalent about Lindelof -- he may get bullied by Pepe or Lacca. Axel may be a better choice.

Hope they have a go at us so we can counter. Can't see them taking a catious approach.

Would love us to just go 4-4-2. We are sh*te anyway, let's have a go.

    De Gea
    AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Young
    Dalot - Pogba - McTominay - James
    Martial - Greenwood

We've been really bad away from home for a long time now. There's no confidence in this team, although we have been showing some fight recently, at least at home.

This is kind of a 6pointer in the fight for 4th place. So for me I'd happily take a point right now.

Martial, Pogba, Shaw and Rashford all out with Pogba maybe with a chance to make it depending on the next few days.

Win, lose or draw it certainly won't be good to watch. Expect a low quality game between 2 poor sides.

Eh? Arsenal have a poor defense, which makes for high scoring matches. Score draws, last minute winners, lots of drama. The only thing certain is that its going to be good to watch.

Battle of the clown teams. If either team loses this match they should be ashamed. We’re both dreadful.

I really hope we start with 3CB. Pogba should be OK. Starting with 4231 makes it even worse than ever with the lack of forwards. Imagine Greenwood or Lingard supported by James, Mata and Andreas with no overlap from fullbacks. Its not gonna work.

With 3 at the back I hope we have solidity and try to get something from there.

    DDG
    AWB-ALEX-HARRY-LINDY-YOUNG:(
    FRED-McTOM
    PAUL
    GREENWOOD-JAMES

It's sadly funny but excited to see the 2 strikers in the line up.

And let's see if these feckers still cannot score. Feck it, just go in gun blazing. Ole doesn't seem to know any other plan besides attacking to win games anyway.

I’m not looking forward to this at all.

Hoping we win but if you offer me the draw right now, I’d gladly shake your hand.

Can’t believe I’m saying this about the prospect of facing Arsenal! Out of all teams as well. Embarrassing to say the least, how much of a mess we are in that I’m not confident of a result against that mob.

06/07. PIG made his debut. Gave away a penalty then saved it. Ronaldo caught trying daft skills near to his own penalty area late on and caught by Cesc, who plays in Adebayor to score. Lehmann makes astonishing save from Ole in the final few minutes.

If Arsenal fail to beat this Man Utd team, then safe to say they are much worse than us!

They could not have asked for a better time to play us!
