Liverpool could be kicked out of Carabao Cup for fielding an ineligible player

As there is precedence for punishing with fines in similar circumstances I think a fine would be the most fair outcome.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind if they kicked us out as long as that meant from now on that's the punishment for anyone who makes the same mistake going forward. It is the club's responsibility to make sure they follow the rules no matter how superbly shitty the FA is at processing International clearances for players.

As a neutral, Liverpool should not be punished beyond giving one player to each club in the tournament.

Why does the FA still bother with fines that low, I simply don't see the point.
I think in this case because it is the fa's fault he wasn't eligible. He's been with us for four years, came back from loan over the summer and the FA couldn't get around to complete his re-registration for months. It's shoddy as feck.

That fine wouldn't keep Dolberg in watches.

Sunderland fielded an ineligble player in a league cup game and four PL games a few years ago and was only punished with a fine.

Given how Klopp has treated the cups ever since Liverpool have become good, it wouldn't surprise me if he did that on purpose hoping to get booted out.

All about TV ratings / revenue.

Primary motive in football these days, as with so much else is greed.
But was it the 'same thing'. Maybe Ricky needs to get Bianca to look at the small print.

Who do Liverpool pay the fine to? I hope it gets paid to MK Dons but I doubt that's the case.
