Before he became manager he was adored by the fans and had an almost mythical reputation. No one could see any flaws in him and he was a lovable man.

Since his horrific run I fear he's tarnishing his reputation and his standing with the fans. He needs to do the right thing for the club he loves and resign.

If he fecks off soon enough and never talks about his managerial time here again, then no.

Not even close. Still love him, and yeah it might not work out, but that won't change anything.

I blame our owners and that cnut Woodward more than anything.

Ole will always be loved by United fans. He could get us relegated to the Conference and that would never change.

I still adore him, the name calling is way out of order, but he is a nothing manager, there are no excuses to our regression since March, none, the feck are they doing in training.

Learn to seperate Ole the ex player and the manager.
Great guy, great player, absolutely shite manager, nowhere near PL level.

Please resign.

Cemented his legacy as an absolute legend at this club. A fantastic player and a fantastic person who tried hard and failed particularly badly at an impossible task.

Nah, Solskjaer the player and the manager are two different entities for me.

He still haves a lot of credit, but ffs he should quit if he really cares about the club.

Yes he is

His crap management is actively harming the club and he should do the honourable thing

No. He will always be loved as a player. As bad as he is as a manager, we all know the current situation isn't his fault.

I think the whole point of hiring him was that he’d kick out the players that don’t really want to be here or can’t be motivated to play for us and the fans would give him as much time as he needed. Nobody thought it would be this bad though surely. We look awful. Clueless and gutless. I don’t think he’s ruining his legacy he’s just being found out for what he is. A nice guy and an average manager who seems very short on ideas.

If he stays as manager and takes us down, which incredibly doesn't seem a far fetched possibility, then yeah he will have tarnished his legacy.

Anything other than that then no.

Nope, but he needs to go. SHould walk tomorrow but will likely wait till we are embarrassed versus the likely league winners.

No.

I want him out as much as anyone but his failings as a manager don't take away what he achieved here as a player, and how away from football he seems like a nice man.

He's not the main problem. We've had two (maybe more) summers in a row where the manager hasn't been properly backed by the board.

He's clearly not up to the standard required, but he was hardly going to turn the job down, particularly not after the run he was on when he was offered the position.

If he loves this club then he should do the decent thing and quit right away. Never had the credentials to be a permanent manager of this club and never will.

At the club no.

As a manager - he definitely cemented his status as a crap manager.

He wouldn't get a job anywhere in a top league. Probably even second tier.

Seeing how Molde are doing even they won't take him back.

This is not the managers fault. We have a bang average side. No creativity in midfield, and literally nobody willing to take on the opposition full-backs. Wretched, woeful, boring, slow, awful team.

His legacy as a player is untouchable. As a manager, that is a completely different story.

He should definitely quit, the fact that the players managed to go on the run when he was first appointed means that they are capable of having shots on target, the regression over the past 10 months shows that he isn't capable of turning this around.

Of course it’s partly his fault. He is putting confidence in bang average players thinking they are world beaters.

This. No fan can hold any ill feelings towards Ole over this, but he needs to bow out ASAP. He's out of his depth.

Nope, what he gave to the club as a player can never be took away, just look at our trophy cabinet. The fact he took this job on shows his character and love for us, and if he fails, i can safely say it wont be on him. The fact he was employed when the club is in such a desperate situation is telling and shows there are not football decision makers at this club.

No. Maybe in the eyes of some United fans which would be a big shame. Not to mention name calling an United legend.

I think he is. Its not as if this period will just be forgotten. We still talk about how shit Moyes was and that was 6 years ago.

I’ll never hate him as that’s 2 separate periods, what he did on the pitch will never be forgotten.

Unfortunately his manager skills clearly aren’t up to it and he should be put out of his misery before hate drives up.

Naw. His heart's in the right place. We sack him and bring someone else in who fails and struggles and the cycle persists.

And if he doesn't?

He's a great man but I fear for his reputation if he remains stubborn and things continue as they are.
He'll be sacked soon enough, I think. Managers hardly ever resign these days. He will be remembered as a great player for us, as a nice guy who tried his best but just wan't able enough to manage a club like United.

One thing is for sure - his career as a manager in the premier league is over.
