Where are all our Belfast Reds? No info on which players are playing?
Hewson is the only 2nd year scholar to old, but the other and first year scholars should be 14 and than we need 4 more (Strickland, Moffatt, Williams and Bryant?) Woods and Wellback are playing today in the Nordic open for the FAs u-17s.

United's scored through Cathcart, Fagan 2 (1 pen), Brandy and a 30 yard screamer from McCormack.

United made 5 subs but I have no news as yet....

I would have thought Hewson and Amos went on the tour, so that leaves five other players......Eikrem and Galbraith didn't go.....

FORMIDABLE FERMANAGH, FIVE-STAR Man Utd!




Manchester United’s Irish contingent felt right at home as they weighed in to help bury little Leichtenstein under an avalanche of goals in the Premier Milk Cup.



Glengormley lad Craig Cathcart started the ball rolling for Paul McGuinness’ team after 14 minutes then Conor McCormack cracked home a long range belter to leave the national side reeling on the end of a five-goal deluge.



In between Dubliner Christopher Fagan picked a brace and Febian Brandy also got in on the act to please a large crowd who cheered on the Red Devils’ mini marvels.



Cathcart struck after the Leichtenstein defence failed to deal with a ball into the box. The rising star controlled the ball and planted a right foot shot past the keeper.



Two goals in quick succession sealed United’s victory. Fagan side footed the ball home and within two minutes brilliant Brandy cut in from the left flank before rounding the keeper to score.



When Brandy was brought crashing to the ground inside the box early in the second half Fagan stepped up to convert the resulting penalty.



Two minutes from time McCormack put Leichtenstein out of their misery with a stunning finish.



Last year’s beaten finalists Chelsea kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 win over a resilient County Antrim at Ballymena Showgrounds. Sergio Terjara and Jack Cork were on target for the Stamford Bridge outfit and Ryan McLoughlin’s reply make sure of an intriguing contest to the final whistle.



Top Ulster side were County Fermanagh who eclipsed FC Brussels 3-1 with gols fro Ryan Smyth, Andrew Little and Richard Flaherty. Boss John Quinn praised his players for a superb performance: “We weren’t given much chance going into it but the lads were terrific throughout the entire game,” he said.



County Armagh put up a solid show against Spartak Moscow but went down 2-1. John McLoughlin scored for the Ulster side but Artur Maloyan and Alexandr Yaroslavtsev made sure of the points for the Russians.



Mark Okoko’s goal was enough to give Sheffield United victory over San Francisco Seals while four goals from Cherry Orchard’s Niall Fitzmaurice gave the Dublin side a comfortable win over New Zealand’s Otago.



Carlos Santos earned FC Porto a point with his strike against Rapid Vienna.



County Down held Mexico’s talented Cruz Azul to a scoreless draw while County Londonderry went down 1-0 to Universidad Catolica.



Bayern Munich were too strong for Malta. Goals from Christoph Hasselmeier, Florian Elender and Yannick Kakoko were enough to secure success.

The players are not using the squad numbers in the games.....McCormack wore number 6 in the Liechtenstein game....

Apparently in the Liechtenstein game, Dudgeon replaced Dudley, Strickland replaced Chester, Moffatt replaced Eckersley, Williams replaced Brandy and Bryan came off but not sure who replaced him....probably Mitchell Bryant

Febian Brandy was the toast of his Manchester United team mates last night with a sensational solo strike to book the Red Devils a last eight clash with Spartak Moscow.

The Mosside marvel skipped into the box and ran rings around County Tyrone keeper Mark Leonard before guiding the ball into the net after six minutes.

Tyrone had two half chances in the second half but skipper Aiden Lynch blew his chances.

One goal turned out to be enough for Paul McGuinness' boys who fired blanks in the first half. Danny Drinkwater sent a shot over and Leonard palmed away a Chris Fagan shot then denied Brandy at full stretch.

Later Fagan shot past the angle when he was well placed.

Eikrem is playing in the Nordic open in the Faroes for Norway u-17.

we lost 1-0 to Spartak.
Next we ´ll meet Sheffield Utd for 5th-8th place.

The Academy side met Manchester United at Portrush in the first of two play-off ties that the Blades play to determine what place they will finish in the Northern Ireland Milk Cup competition.
Thursday's all-Premiership tie against Manchester United ended 2-2 after normal time. The Blades took an early lead after four minutes when Jordan Eagers volleyed home a superb strike from the edge of the box.
The Red Devils levelled after 12 minutes, but Aymen Tahar's sweetly-struck drive on 22 minutes put the Blades 2-1 ahead. The youngsters kept their one-goal advantage intact until, agonisingly, one minute from time when the Manchester side levelled matters at 2-2.
And so the game went straight to penalty kicks, the Blades were narrowly beaten 5-4 after a nervy shoot-out.
Having lost the clash with Manchester United, the Blades now face Bayern Munich in a 7th/8th place play-off at Broughshane on Friday. Bayern fell to a 3-0 defeat to Chilean side Universidad Catolicia, also on Thursday.
Coach Scott Sellars said his side were unlucky not to emerge victorious from Thursday's tie, but is now switching his attentions to an intriguing clash with the Germans.
He said: "The lads did well and could quite easily have won the game in normal time. Unfortunately they equalised with a minute to go, and then penalties are always a lottery. I am proud of the players. They have done ever so well in the tournament. We are really looking forward to meeting Bayern Munich."
