Lets start by saying first and most that we are going through some rough times. Everybody can see that. But we have to be real.

I am still not going all in for Solkjaer to be replaced. Yet. And this is why. Why I agree the results have been bad there is no understanding whatsoever on this forum where we stand playerwise. We all knew that the squad was thin and we knew that we could not compete with Liverpool/City. Now with our injuries we are very fragile and I also believe that luck has left us. Today, first half was very bad. In second half we were totally in control and should at least not have lost. Every game we have lost have, if you think, been harsh on us. Yes, I understand that our game has been far from perfect, but that is because of our lack of offence. And because of injuries upfront. Defensivly we are 3 best looking at GA. Problem is offense.

Before anyone calls me deluded (popular word to use against those with other opinion) think for a second. What would you have done last weeks looking at players we have? You can't say that difference would be huge in what players to use because we don't realy have a lot of those who are healhty.
This man gets it.

I'm with you - what other managers could work with the dross in that team today? It's full of nothing players. I'm really astounded at how bad Rashford has gone - I thought he'd be brilliant. That midfield is so weak with the injuries. McTominay and Fred? A young workhorse coupled with an absolutely nothing player for £50million pounds. Both sat behind Mata who for me is finished - and I used to love him. The only players I actually have any liking for in this team is De Gea, Maguire, Tuanzabe, Wan-Bissaka, McTominay, Pogba (when he is out of our half), James and recently Martial as a 9 based on those first few games. The rest can all sling their hook.

We need to go for the best young manager about. Do our research and get the next best thing. Not someone with no experience, slow defensive style of play or past it. The manager is the main thing we need to get right asap.

Like i said we're strong at centre back.

So do you believe that James, Mata and Pereira are better than Almiron, Saint Maximin, Joelinton? Why other than they are wearing a red shirt?
Almiron has zero goals for Newcastle in his career. He was playing his trade in MLS before this season and is 25. That goes to show how good he is.

Saint Maximin is a 22 years old hugely frustrating and inconsistent winger who won't get a sniff at a top half team.

Joelinton even today was shite and apart from one goal against Spurs has looked really really shite.

The worrying thing, and I sense that many fans may agree with this, is that we seem like we have little idea, resilience, conviction, commitment or inspiration to change things around.

Teams like Aston Villa play with more belief than us... why? Because they have better players? Newcastle's players were more effective, showed more desire than us, and Newcastle have NOT been great this season... why? We are behind Palace, West Ham... Wolves, Burnley... those teams aren't blessed with super squads of players. But they all have an identity to their play... all of them.

We seem lost, and I look and listen to OGS, and I think he feels lost too. It's too much for him.
That's exactly why I am in the seemingly minority who feels Allegri IS the right man for this job. The man oozed tradition when he was at Juve and made it clear they re playing for the pride of the club - the badge, the pride of being one of the select few to wear that shirt.

OGS has claimed in his post-match interview (MUTV website) that the attitude of the players is good enough.

If that is the case (which I doubt) then the players are just pure trash.

Andreas, Mata, Fred, Young (among others) are just past it or not good enough to begin with. We need a total revamp this summer. It is a shame that we can't claim the hundreds of million spent since Fergie back or we could actually be able to re build our squad.

Whatever happened to the noble art of resigning???

Leave Ole, leave; you had your chance; thanks for the 6th place in 2019 after a dreadful autumn 2018 but it's time for you to go. Resign.

I love this club and everything about it but thing which pisses me the most is that complete obssession about long term plans. We as a big club must look at next season as long term. It is only way to stay competitive with other top clubs. We can't afford to sacrifice seasons. Result must be on first place. And also managers don't stick around too long. They come, stay 3-4 years and go. It is natural cycle in their job.

No. You probably dont remember 99. He gave me my greatest football memory. He is a legend and this is awful. I hate seeing this. I want someone to do the right thing for him.
Yeah, I don't remember. But it's never good when a legend makes the change from player to manager and looks like it's a totally different world

You would go from one of the biggest and the most paid jobs in the world? Especially when you know that your next job is some shit lower division club or some medium club from average league at best?

This is Ole's peak in his career. After United it is Norway league or league1. If we slip on 20th place and players make a petition to board against him he will fight for staying here

And what's your opinion of Mata, Pereira and James?
All would start for Newcastle.

From what I've seen from Sean Longstaff I don't think he's even better than McT at this point.

Matthew looked better than him today and he had his first start.

Jose Mourinho left a squad to Ole which finished second. Second!! With low morale and a mess but still those players were second. Even in his last games we scored goals and won games. Everything else what happened with this squad is on Ole. He decided that Lukaku is not needed, he decided to buy new defence, he decided that Matic is shit, he decided to play Rashford on striker, to play Pogba on dmc, to play with no10, etc and etc..
You seem to be very good at missing the point while searching for something to disagree on. :D I could just as easily argue that Jose was 6th when he got sacked. Yes, Ole is not looking good enough. But my point is that the problems run deeper than Ole. Woodward should also be held culpable for this step decline we are witnessing. Knee jerking from manager to manager with no strategy is never going to work.

I’m still startled how we went into the season with this squad & some posters thinks it’s an acceptable step in the process.

OgS stood by the squad in press conferences & should now be judged by its performances.

What worries me more is the last thing said in the post match press conference.

Ed is the main problem. Without question.
Not backing Mourinho after he gave him new contract, hiring Ole too early after he had a plan to hire another manager when season ends and now sticking with Ole when it is obvious that he will be fired soonercor later

'Squad' and starting line up on a particular day are two completely different things.

You will argue we should be winning even if we put out the u18 team.
Both squad and starting line up are better compared to the liked of Newcastle, come on mate. Have we really sunk that low to big up every shite team we're playing against?

Have you seen Newcastle lately before our game, honestly?

2 weeks ago Brighton battered them at their home soil and can't believe they didn't end up with three points.

Passes
280 - 718

This was from the game against Brighton. Only Watford have been worse than them this season. They are really and utterly clueless.

Agree there. I wanted him to be successful and given time. Now I'm worried. Very worried. He looks well out of his depth. He either needs some help or he has to go before it gets very messy

My only question is whether Poch would come without having a director of football here or Ed moving aside.

No top manager right now is going to come to us.

I just saw this post match comments. He is confident that he will fix everything. No sign that he even think about being fired so i guess he knows that he will not.
Shambolic stuff. As one poster nicely said: managers don't resign anymore. They all wait sacking and big payment.

I was sure that if we don't win against Arsenal and Newcastle that ge will be fired. Now i am starting to think like many here that he will stay until Christmas

The irony of you accusing others of being unreasonably obstinate in their arguments.

Imagine how that could change if we had actually some creative players and even one goalscorer!
Surely we can’t be much worse than the rest of the league even with current personnel. We have little talent for a top club but still we do have some talent.
