Baffling how many went with Mata. Such an overrated player on here. I would have Fellaini in my team 10/10 times over Mata.

Fellaini, he won many games by himself. Mata is a liability defending and plays way too safe.

Fellaini, definitely. He had several important moments for the club. I was against his signing along with most United fans, but there's no doubt he was a more influential player for us.

Mata is sheer disappointment. He peaked at Valencia and Chelsea. We've only ever seen glimpses of the quality he once had.

The players Ole let go.... What a fecking arsehole.

Fellaini by far - he was a total asset to the team.

I'd prefer neither, tbf! Both were horrendous signings, but Mata had Juanfield so he edges it even though I think he's rubbish, too.

It's like asking whether you'd prefer a poke in the eye or a kick in the nuts. There are a lot of problems at the club right now. Letting either of these 2 go will never be one of them.

The more the actual memory of him playing fades, the higher Fellaini's star rises here.

A year from now some might even believe Sanchez was a better signing than Mata, as the latter continues to visibly decline and the former is safely out of sight.

Mata may have not been the better signing but get ridding of Fellaini has atleast got us playing good football again.
