Whatever makes you sleep at night mate
I'll not have anybody slag us off - we are a total minnow and we do whatever it takes to try and get a result. You would do exactly the same in our situation.

It's hilarious to see us frustrate much, much bigger countries than us. I absolutely fecking love it. We have 1.5 million people in NI - that's it.

Shame about the last few minutes as we deserved to get the draw but was always going to be a massive ask. If we had hung on that would have been a result we would have talked about for many years.

This is a harder loss for Norn Iron than losing 4-0 I think.

After 76th minute the group was looking incredible for them. Now they'll have to hope some other nations mess up and then they might get a play off.

I feel like you’re just frustrated. You can’t really think there’s any other way Northern Ireland could play these kind of games with any kind of success?
They played decent football against other teams but now there's no other way they could play these games with any kind of success?

This kind of illustrates the fact that parking the bus was a wise move for them.

Are you seriously asking why a team of Championship and League One players are not playing expansive football away to Netherlands? It's kind of how you guys had to resort to trying to kick Spain off the field in 2010.

You are living in a completely different world that I am in. You expect us to go and play open football in Holland? That would have been suicide. We will play a better brand of football in Belfast.

We Dutch people really like our national team. Dont expect us to be reasonable about this :)

We Northern Irish really like our national team too. It's just like supporting a team like Crawley Town who have to play Premiership opposition every few months. You can't comprehend what it is like.

Playing their normal football against a team with exponentially more technical and athletic ability would be suicidal. They’d get torn to bits.

The only way for a bunch of championship/league one level footballers to keep the score down in games like this is to play the way they did tonight. Even then they barely have a prayer because the level is so different.

As was just mentioned a Blackpool player came on. It’s worlds apart in every single respect, and it’s stupidly disrespectful and ignorant to expect them to be able to play attractive football. They are straight up not capable of that against players of this level.

Not open football. I expected counter attacking football. That's still defensive. But your manager started paddy mcnair on the wing and instructed your players to waste time for the entire second half. There's a whole world between what you did and open or expansive football.

I'm from the Republic lad but I'm well aware at how hard N Ireland have it. The Republic are usually up against it and we have 3 times the pick of players they do. They seriously are better off trying to play for a point in games like these (just like ROI would do).

Belgium had 84% possession and 43 shots (16 on target).

That’s gutting for Northern Ireland but I love their determination in spite of their actual ability as footballers. Wish Scotland showed half of their grit and desire. We are hopeless. Something seriously wrong with our National Team.

BBC Sport on their feed are asking whether England have the best front 3 in international football. They got to be up there that's for sure

Just a shame what's behind them.
