Arsenal could buy prime Figo and still no one would take them seriously.
It is good so no team will park the bus against us, and we are only aiming at the 4th place trophy anyway. Not sure if we are still in for Fraser though after we bought Pepe, and Willock, Nelson, Martinelli, Saka all need minutes.

He better undistract himself or he mightn’t get the move he wants. He’ll need to prove he isn’t a one season wonder
He's been steadily improve since his PL debut 3 years ago. Last year was a breakout year and the first year he played in all league matches. He can play on the right and left of midfield.

This year, it looks like Solanke is playing up front with Callum Wilson, but hasn't done anything of note such as 0 goals and assists...with King the wide forward or attacker with Harry Wilson. Not sure if Howe has tried Fraser and Wilson wide with Callum Wilson and King up front similar to last year.

It's interesting because coming off the bench, Fraser has come on around the hour mark and come on for Harry Wilson twice and Solanke once.

His best skill is getting wide and putting crosses in for a striker and like James he's bit better out left, so he doesn't really suit us necessarily, but we have money and are a big club and he could back himself to start here as opposed to some of the other top 6 so it's not inconceivable.

He'd be a decent signing for Chelsea backing up Hudson-Odoi and Pulisic on the wings if they lose Willian and maybe Pedro stays for one more year. Abraham is a good fit as a 9 for him.

Basically sort of an Ashley Young type in that his crossing ability, versatility and competitiveness make him a useful signing for a big team but you want him to be your 3rd winger and the right striker to benefit from what he brings (assists) since he's not going to score much or come inside and help you win the midfield battle or playmake.

King has done quite well as a left-winger, if Fraser leaves I could see them moving Brooks into the 10 role and benching Solanke, who's been kinda quiet while starting.

Bournemouth fans are mad but it's their own club's fault for standing in the way of their players' ambitions. They've put insane and unrealistic price tags on him, Wilson and King amongst other players. No wonder the players are giving them a middle finger in return.

Excellent news. Means he misses the game against us on the 4th July.

Would take him in a heartbeat. He'd be a great squad option considering Rashford is only just coming back from a back injury that could have issues further, and Martial has injury problems too. Him or Wilian on a free would be smart business.

I agree, we need backups who can actually contribute something on the pitch. This is the type of signing we should be looking at every season, someone to come in and raise the standard of the squad.

the boy is a good player and will move to a bigger club- potentially Tottenham or Everton perhaps. Unfortunately, I think this shows him in a negative light, his club are fighting relegation and they need him. Bournemouth took a chance on him and really helped his development from the small kid from Aberdeen into a good premiership player.

Do people always forget Daniel James or they just don't rate him

Yeah, I don’t think he offers anything that James doesn’t. Assuming we buy another right winger — that’s Rashford; New RW; James; and Greenwood as our wing options. In reserve we’d have Mata and Alexis Sanchez (I don’t think we’ll find anywhere for him to go), and Chong.

Poor from him. Bournemouth helps him become a great player, and he is just as much to blame for this relegation battle as the rest of the players but didn't want that on his record.

He comes across quite badly doing this, it's an arrogant move from someone who has had a less than impressive season. He must have a move lined up but it isn't a great way to conduct himself.

At the end of the day he signed a contract and fulfilled it.

Clubs can be pretty ruthless when it comes to replacing/dumping players,it might be a bit cold but it's hard to blame Fraser for doing what he thinks is best when his contract is up.

What if a player signs a 2 month contract, tears an ACL and never gets a big payday ever again?

I don't blame him for wanting to leave, but not signing a deal to just cover the remainder of the season seems a little unnecessary. Doing so doesn't stop him from leaving once the season does end, does it?

I don't think it's that bad that he is not signing a short term deal. My issue with the players who are doing this but are also refusing to play before their contracts are up on the 30th June, they're the ones that look particularly bad. Difference also with Fraser is that he has been pretty clear all season that he's probably looking to leave when his contract was over too, he hasn't done this out of the blue like a few players have.

He helped Bournemouth as much as they helped him. They also could have probably received a decent fee for him at some point but were too greedy. It looks worse because they're in a relegation battle but if he fulfils the contract he signed up until the date that it ends then there really shouldn't be an issue.

Werent Bournemouth happy that he did something similar for their benefit whilst he was at Aberdeen?

I mean he owes the club nothing. The club didnt get him out of the kindness of his heart. He has fulfilled a contract and is within his rights to not sign another contract especially if they have blocked any chances for him to further himself.

Exactly — fans want their players to swear fealty to their clubs no matter what and then just as happily dump them if they’re not doing well. And get aggrieved if said players wish to see out the contract they signed.

At least Brooks is back. This is similar to the Lyle Taylor situation.

I have no problem with it so long as these players at least play until 30 June.

It is beyond me!
The guy has not even played a full season for us yet but I think he has done really well.
If we had paid double the money for someone from Spain or Italy people would be saying he has settled well and will only get better yet all I read about James is that he is just a squad player.

Daniel James is our Ryan Fraser.

2746 mins 4 goals 7 assists in a debut season without a creative midfielder picking him out. Not the best output but nobody in the squad has put up amazing creative numbers (Fernades aside).

Not sure what Fraser offers that James doesn’t.

Never mind quoting stats, watch him, he's not very good.
So let’s ignore facts completely? Great way to judge a player...

I see a young, hungry and electric paced player who has dealt incredibly well with the pressure of being a United player, has played more minutes than any of us would have expected him capable of coping with in his debut season and who offers us a counter attacking threat.

He’s our most fouled player meaning he wins us more set pieces than anyone else in the squad and he’s assisted more than anyone in the PL.

Now set your bias aside and tell me what about that analysis is wrong.

He's not a player you can depend on, he's good in certain games on a counter. Fraser's all round game is superior to Dan James in every way bar pace.

Aberdeen have just missed out on a sell-on fee for him. At one point it looked they were due about £6M

Stats are misleading, Harvey Barnes has more assists than Maddison, does that make him the better player?

I see a very fast one dimensional player with limited technical ability that struggles to beat anyone in a 1v1 situation. The fact that's he's our most fouled player is probably down to the fact that opposing players simply block him knowing he's incapable of dribbling around them.

So can he sign for a club on July 1st and play for them this season?

He's a left winger....what clubs in England need a left winger now
Of course it's Manchester United. You can never have enough Left Wingers.

On a serious note, I think Liverpool can use him since Origi isn't really a LW and Mane can play RW. Shaqiri is leaving which opens up a spot for him.
Man City might find a use for him if B Silva moves to CM.

Silly move by him imo. He must have a club lined up.
On the contrary. What if he picks up an injury in the remaining 9 games?

Smart move by him, who is guaranteed to move onto a bigger club than Bournemouth.
