One of the landmark cases after the 1975-77 Emergency that marked the resurgence of a strong rights-promoting Supreme Court against the executive branch was Maneka Gandhi v Union of India, the judgemet stated basically that her passport cannot be impounded for no reason.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if this court applies that precedent to these new passport cases.
The judges back then were cut from a different cloth. Just reading judgments of that period will tell you the difference in quality. The decline started in the 80's. That's not to say they didn't get "influenced", difference is today bar one or two judges of the supreme court all the others don't give a shit about rule of law and most of them dont even bother hiding it.
Right, I've officially changed my mind, I'm against the scrapping of Article 370. I actually changed it when we crossed 30 days of communication blockdown, but didn't get time to post here. Any change that'll affect the local people so badly that you'll need to stop them from communicating to each other, is better not made.
Increasingly looking like this was an attempt to mask the economy shambles, which is unraveling anyway. I see no other explanation why this has to be done so haphazardly.
Instead of moaning here why dont you buy a few cars rather than commuting via uber/ola. Its your fault the economy is tanking.

Giving precedence to European MP's elected by Europeans over Indian MP's elected by Indian citizens! No matter the politics involved if anything is anti-national it is this.
Its another matter that most of the MEP's are fascists who want to kick out all immigrants whether they're legal or illegal including Indians who happen to be Hindus.
