Anyone else not enjoying this because we didn’t make more signings?

We need to sign players. Only a fool would think we don't. It's that simple. You get injuries. You get loss of form. We have weak players. We have a very young squad. From midfield to strikers, we are anemic.

The squad really is at the stage now where it desperately needs some really savvy transfer operators. The "let's sign 3 players each summer" approach is just nowhere near enough. By the time they've filled existing gaps, they'll have another 4 or 5 to fill with players leaving or retiring.

So, are they expecting it to be 4 or 5 years before the manager has a squad of players he can work with?

They really need to work the market, find players with clauses and contracts running down to be able to sign 6 or 7 by the end of next summer. Otherwise, find a coach who doesn't want to play out from the back and can use Smalling, play a ponderous midfield style with Matic or someone who can get Sanchez playing better.

It's a directionless club at the moment with the decision makers at the top making things much harder for the coaching staff and playing squad to be successful.

We have quite possibly the most uninspired group of players ever assembled to play football, and nobody has a clue about making signings so it's clearly not going to get better any time soon. It's madness.

The club literally needs to get bought out by an oil state at this point.

To be fair, our improved form in the second half coincided with us finally making a signing to improve the attack.
