When was the last time you really enjoyed a game of football?

That honeymoon period with Ole was fantastic, but the PSG game was probably the last game I really enjoyed.

I was looking forward to a decent game of football this evening, finally had an opportunity to sit down and watch England, it was awful.

(We aren't interested in your opinion, City and Liverpool fans, btw.)
Thursday night at Aston University. I scored two goals.

The PSG game brought back feelings I never experienced in a long time.

It’s not like we’ve been blown out. Every match was close, with the possibility of nipping a win right to the end. I’ve enjoyed every one of our games this season.

You do wonder about those fine margins.... score that pen v Wolves and win that game, and who knows how the momentum would have gone.
Plus the injury list!

It could so easily have been a lot better, and suddenly the pressure eases right off, and he has half a chance.

I think in a way I enjoy most Chelsea games.

Well enjoy is probably the wrong word but even if the game is crap the emotional investment keeps me watching keenly.

Apart from the Jose meltdown period and a few select games in both Ancelotti and Conte's second season's I don't think I've ever been truly bored during a Chelsea match, either the game itself is keeping me entertained or the emotional aspect of following Chelsea is.

Apart from the PSG game, probably Ole's debut at Cardiff. But I can count the number of United games I've truly enjoyed on two hands, for about 3-4yrs to be honest. Loved watching the World Cup as a neutral.

Ive had to think a long time about this and that in itself sums up how much we have declined. Probably the Chelsea game simply because I was in the pub watching with 2 mates and one of them was a Chelsea fan and he was spouting off how Frank was going to stick it up Utd. They started off well, but once the first goal went in it was the best enjoyment I have had in a Utd performance in a long time.

Honestly thought I was going to keel over when Rashford stepped up for that pen. Not sure if I enjoyed it but that was the best feeling I've had from a football match in a while.

I enjoyed the ENG vs SWE match as I was on my stag at the time.

Before that you're looking at sometime during the SAF days to honest. Even the FA and UEFA cup finals with LVG and Mou weren't that enjoyable.
Agree. I was with an utterly unbearable Liverpool fan at the time, he was so shamelessly teeing things up to make it hurt as much as possible if Rashford didn't score.

"Biggest moment of his career"
"Surely he'll score this"
"He won't recover if he misses"
"A player as highly rated as him should be making it impossible to save"

On top of that, he was saying "United are through, PSG always just manage to bottle it, they gift sides the win" and this was when VAR was still being checked on the handball.. Embarrassingly one dimensional way of being as irritating as possible tbh. According to him, City will 'definitely' still win the league..

It was clear to me after that Chelsea game that serious cracks were papered over. I loved the Cardiff game when Ole first took over, so I'll go with that.

Unlike others, I didn't enjoy the PSG game. I enjoyed the result, and not withstanding the senior players that were out, the game showed us how far we are away from a technical style of playing. PSG absolutely outclassed us in passing and chance creation but were undone by their own mistakes in the first half - we never bombarded their goal; nine times out of ten we would have lost.

And since that game, we have kept up a similar form and deservedly got punished for it. Ole and the coaches don't have a clue.
Miserable git

I understand what you mean, I’m more referring to the high I got off the result. Might have had something to do with the copious amounts of pints and shots also though.

Our last game Vs Newcastle.

It was quite nice to see again a ginger running things at Old Trafford and scoring a nice goal. It's been a while.

Seriously? A few weeks ago when I watched Cardiff Met Uni vs TNS. I was engrossed for some reason, and disproportionately pissed off when TNS equalised with literally the last touch of the game  :(

Was Carrick with Herrera and Fellaini, Pogba wasn't signed for another year after that.
My bad. You’re right. The chemistry just kinda worked with the midfielders and their associated wide forwards with Carrick just sitting.

City 2 - 3 United

The way I felt when the 3rd goal went in was otherworldly.

The PSG game was a strange one, can’t say I enjoyed it.

Depends on what level of enjoyment we're talking. Like Bayern in the UCL final 2-1, or Roma 7-2, or Arsenal 8-2? Or just feeling like I didn't waste 90 plus minutes of my life? I really can't remember many amazing moments in the past years with United at least. First thing that comes to mind is Pogba finally showing up in that 2nd half against City, and them not being able to lift their trophy in our faces, but that's more of a petty short lived type of enjoyment.

Of other teams, I did find myself jumping a bit in my seat when Haaland scored his hat-trick in the first half of his UCL debut against Genk. Mostly because he's Norwegian, and it's been awhile since we've had anyone to be really excited about (and now we have 2). That game was pretty good all round though. I really like the way Salzburg play now, and played under Rose to. Some of Ajax games last season in the UCL were pretty damn good to. I wish we could just try to implement a similar style.

I throughly enjoyed spurs getting spanked by bayern. There have been some decent united games like the Chelsea game and of course the psg away game last season.

Agree with this, but PSG topped it, purely because i thought Ole was the man to take us forward after that game, utterly convincing myself he will be our saviour........sigh

Manchester United 4-0 Chelsea.

The way we have been playing, that will be the last time I enjoy a game of football this season.

Thought the Fa Cup semi final was really good:

The Uefa Quarter final 2nd leg against Anderlecht certainly had moments of individual brilliance
watching that makes you realise how poor Solskjaer has been at coaching performances out of these players.

Over a sustained period it was when LVG stumbled on midfield trio of Herrera, Pogba and Fellaini. We went on a good run with great performances. There was some confidence on my part that the forthcoming games would be enjoyable

Solitary Utd game enjoyment...I actually can’t remember. As a footballing spectacle even PSG was a hard watch despite being thrilling. We were hardly zipping it about with good passages of play and sustained pressure.

When was the last time we dominated a team for 90 mins with good football and plenty of clear cut chances??
That run of games in LVG’s first season was incredible. Don’t know why it couldn’t continue.

Like that game, 4 years on we still rely on Martial for any sort of threat.

4-0 Chelsea. Guess the first half weren't great, regards how many chances we conceded, but seeing us counter in the second half was great stuff to watch.

Hoping once we get our full team back out, we see more of it. Having said that, there's not a lot of teams that will allow us to counter such as Chelsea did. This is obviously where we struggle and something that needs addressing come January or summer.

Your last memory of enjoying football was beating our worst team in decades in a nothing game?
Oh, please!

Every game in the PL - or any league for that matter - is important!
