Just made his debut for Brazil, looks a really good prospect. He can dribble well in the middle of the park, and has a great understanding of defensive positioning. Offering them Fred and cash would be a stroke of genius, but realistically signing a 21 year old, small framed Brazilian CDM/CM would probably be too much of a risk right now given the lack of experience in the side. He'll end up playing for Barcelona in a few years no doubt.

He looks like he'd get eaten alive in the Prem. Needs a few years I'd say.

Since hearing of him, and hearing that he's similar to Arthur, I've watched Gremio a few times to "scout" him and he's decent. I'm watching their game against Internacional at the moment and he's having a good game. I definitely think we should look to bring him in when the Jan window opens.

In my opinion, though, he's not in Arthur's league. So, even though he's been decent when I've watched, I admit I have been disappointed because I was expecting him to be like Arthur in terms of being incredibly press resistant (&, don't get me wrong, he is press resistant and strong under pressure, but not like Arthur and Verratti).

So why exactly have you concluded we should sign him in January?

Because he's good! Just not as good as Arthur as I had heard. That doesn't mean he's rubbish, though.

He'd definitely be a welcome addition, and I can see why Barcelona are rumoured to be interested.

We should just steer clear from Brazilians
The problem is that we try to sign the most British (in perception of the steroptypes) Brazilians and Argentines as possible.

Heinze
Fred
Anderson
Rojo

So much natural talent in South America and we tend to go for the ones with graft/grit/physical gifts as opposed to genuine class and flair in attack.

ADM and the twins being exceptions on account of being completely out of place and beautiful respectively.

So, he's joined Sassuolo. Interesting move! I've watched a lot of him at Gremio and will do the same here. I don't think it will be long until he makes another step up from them.

Serie A have most of my favourite central midfielders now. Him, Arthur, Sofyan Amrabat, Leo Sena.
